I have been visiting Crystal Earth for a few times now. After Kathmandu's noice and dust, Crystal Earth Guest House brings easy tranquility in a middle of Nepali village. Fresh air, nature and relaxed feeling in about 30 min from Kathmandu by taxi. Cycling there could be good option too (be prepared there are a few uphills on the way). Both Ganesh and Blue Cottage have their own original charachter and athmosphere. I have especially enjoyed the delicious organic food, cooked according to your preferences. The guest house staff is genuingly friendly and helpful. You can visit Pharping or other local sites from the guest house, the staff knows well the area and can provide you with any assistance. Don't forget to visit the showroom for original pieces of clothing!

Last weekend I spent a night at Crystal Earth with friends and we had fabulous time! I was really positively surprised by the location, staff and the general peacefulness and feel good atmosphere. After arrival we were treated with a tasty vegetarian lunch and in the evening and our host Dyan and her family were extremely attentive. We all bought items from the host's Dakini and Ilo fair-trade clothing ranges knowing that the money goes to support the farm and the community, including an orphanage and a school. Crystal Earth has two lovely cabins which are decorated with bright colors of pink and purple. The two cabins accommodated seven ladies in total (sharing beds). I will definitely go back but for a longer time to do some hiking in the area.
