I would highly recommend Hotel Tibet for its friendliness, beauty and professionalism. It was in true Tibetan style and I was greeted as soon as I arrived. (Staff came to the door to even wave me off). It was a lovely experience and I was made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and all my needs were met....

Having stayed at the Hotel Tibet seven times over the last ten years and been very happy to return each time it speaks for itself that this is an excellent place to stay. Near enough to Thamel to easily walk in and far enough away to be quiet. Even though there is a very large building site directly in front...

This a tibetian family hotel run by a tibetian family. It is more likely a boutique hotel where you can find the good tibetian hospitality. The crew is amazing. Very warm and welcoming. Mme tsering dolkar, the owner, is a fantastic woman, she is like the mother of the crew and the customers. The rooms are spacious and clean. The...

Tucked away down a little side street; accessed by an even smaller side street, is the Hotel Tibet. We found it seems to be a favourite for backpackers, English tourists, Australians and New Zealanders. It is also very local for food, bars, restaurants, shops and the hiring of bicycles or motorbikes. It is situated to the north of the city...

I brought a group of people here and we all agreed that this was a great hotel. Perfect location - easy to walk and shop, lots of restaurants around, and spa right next door. Staff was great - especially at the upstairs bar - very knowledgeable and friendly. Two bars and a coffee shop were perfect additions. Rooftop view was...

We wanted to be away from Thamel and closer to the airport and this place fits the bill. It's a lovely hotel, decorated with style. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff very accommodating. The weak spot was the breakfast. It was not included in our room price and we paid too much for what we got.

Hotel Tibet provided a great base for a week of exploring Kathmandu and surrounding areas in December. The hotel itself had a unique and quirky style, and while some aspects of the rooms are certainly dated as other reviewers have mentioned, they were still very functional and bathrooms have been quite nicely renovated. Front desk staff were consistently professional and...

Stayed here for three nights - good location, staff excellent and the rooms are fine. Probably the best breakfast we had in Nepal, good coffee available and a pleasant courtyard to eat in. Rooftop restaurant good. Staff all professional and friendly.

I stayed here before and after completing the EBC circuit. Loved it both times. The customer service is excellent, good buffet breakfast, fast wifi, lovely rootop garden and a meditation room !
