good location, good gathering of people from all around the world, a nice rooftop for socializing, very welcoming and supportive staffs, but a very old building, not the cleanest and a lot of mosquitoes.

This place is nothing as we expected. We were recommended through a friend. We had to be moved three times from different rooms as facilities and other things did not work. The staff were not apologetic. They wanted us to pay for the upgrade that we only had because they could not provide us the room that we ordered. We...

I arrived at Kathmandu with 30 minutes to New Year's Day kicking in. On departing the airport, tired and having pre-arranged a taxi lift by the hostel, I was greeted by a mob of men, of them two men appeared to be connected to the hostel. One held my name. The other was a driver. It was a tad intimidating....

My partner and I were quite excited when we arrived to alobar1000 , we read the reviews on trip advisor and it seemed that other visitors had enjoyed their time , so we thought we would give it a go. The staff were nice but not overly friendly. We booked to stay in a private room with our own bathroom....

Rooms were v basic and I was concerned that they only asked for the bed sheet and pillow case back at the end of the stay (do they...

The rooftop is amazing and from what i hear better than the hostel around the corner. Good food, Good beer, and Good prices. I can't say anything about the dorm rooms as I paid for the private...

Take caution during checking out. There is a 500 rupees key deposit. I happened to forget that exist. The staff asked me to sign on a booklet, which I assume to be deposit fee register book. It was early in the morning and I wasn't in a good condition, so I just didn't realize what happened then. Only when I...

The beds are not changed between people... it's a backpacker factory... the groundfloor is the worst.. the bathroom and showers are nasty but there is hot water! lots of hot water....

The staff are very friendly, locations is great. Monkey temple is about 40 min walk away, Durbar square 30min. The atmosphere is great on the roof and the food is good too. They have a travel agent were you can book tours for a good price or buy bus tickets. They have good lockers my 65 litre backpack and smaller...
