The Depche is just outside the main part of the village of Bandipur and is run by a gentleman named Madan Shrestha, who used to work at the outstanding Old Inn nearby. Madan is friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is simple but comfortable. It's somewhat remote location is a plus if you want to be somewhere truly silent at...

Agree with previous reviewer - Bandipur not Kathmandu. Hotel Depche is really a cross between a hotel and a homestay, but don't let that put you off - if you are going to Bandipur you are unlikely to be expecting the Hilton. The owner and his family are trying hard to make this the place of choice for travellers, and...

(Hotel Depche is located IN BANDIPUR, not in Kathmandu... tripadvisor info is wrong). Stayed there for 3 nights and Loved the food, specially the vegetable momos (the best we tried in all Nepal), Loved being waked up with a steaming cup of ginger lemon tea to watch the sunrise over the Anapurnas. Loved the hospitality of Madan and his wife...
