I stayed here about 10 years ago, so this review may be out of date. I stayed here for a few nights - it felt very safe (despite the civil war at the time), and the food was excellent (they did an interesting spring roll).

I've stayed at Hotel Utse 4 or 5 times in the last 3 years. They always have acceptional service, rooms are clean and comfortable, they now have hot water basically all the time! and their internet service is very good for KTM. The restaurant has excellent food as well. I find it to be a relaxing respite from the bustle...

A lovely little place in the middle of Thamel. I was worried it might be noisy and/or unsafe, but found it truly lovely. A very simple place but exactly what I was expected for what you pay. Clean as well. Staff were so lovely. Very very helpful. The owners are about all the time as well, saying hello and friendly...

The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly towards visitors. We requested a certain room and this was absolutely no problem for them. We were always welcomed with a smile and conversation. Nothing was ever too much for the staff at this hotel, questions and advice were given with the best advice. I was a 19 year old girl when I...

We stayed at Hotel Utse on 3 occasions during our time in Nepal – it was so great we didn’t worry about trying another hotel. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel and it was about a 20 minute drive to Utse. The location is ideal, as it is located only a couple of minutes walk from...

We stayed here at the start and end of a trekking trip. The hotel is very friendly and the owner and staff were very concerned and caring for my wife who was unwell there for a few days . We were made very welcome on our return from our trekking trip as if we were long lost friends. No doubt...

I highly recommend that travellers and trekkers stay at the Hotel Utse while in Kathmandu. I have used the hotel 4 times over the past 20 years, and my recent stay was as enjoyable as usual. The Utse is family-run and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, the lobby is like a big living room, and...
