I have stayed at the KGH since my trekking days in the 1970s. I was there with a team doing volunteer work at the time of the 25 April 2015 quake. We were all supported by the CE of the KGH and his great staff. I want to reiterate how kind and wonderful the staff were during these days. We...

Kgh is a perfect place for tourists and business trips. This is located at the busiest place in Kathmandu. Food is pretty good and value for money. For tourists, this value for money hotel is heaven as you can spend your time at the palace like ambience with some good wine.

We too had the experience of being in Kathmandu when the earthquake struck. Our hotel was badly damaged and we managed to secure rooms at the KGH. The staff were calm, supportive and provided the best possible service under very difficult conditions. We were grateful for their professionalism and will definitely stay there when we return - hopefully soon!

My experience of staying here dates back to 1998 when I went to Nepal on my own to celebrate my 60th birthday; I was in Nepal for 6 weeks. I rang the KGH from Australia and booked direct with them. Many of the staff speak English particularly on the front desk so there was no problem in being understood. Gyanu...
