I stayed one week at this hotel in May 2015. Despite the hard days the country was going through because of the earthquake, the hotel managed to keep a very good quality of service. I was on the ground floor, the room was spacious with high ceiling. Wifi is slow but that's the case everywhere in Nepal. I wish the...

after the terrible earthquake in Nepal (Kathmandu) it was such a reassuring place to be. you could feel safe and life seemed 'normal'. the staff were just excellent - friendly and helpful - the rooms were great - and the service all up was just 'first class' considering what was going on in the real world outside the hotel. I...

Since I live in Kathmandu, I haven't actually stayed as a guest at the Annapurna. However, I have many friends who have stayed there, both before and after the earthquake, and everyone speaks of the excellent hospitality and good service. Perhaps this is due to the manager's having spent some time at the famed hotel management school associated with Cornell...

Kind of boutique hotel in an old building with an Annex newly built block. Restaurant serves mixed Nepalis and Indian cuisine with live music. Breakfast is good and served in a hall from where you can watch the morning rush of the city. There is a small Casino in the campus, and several small restaurants and cafes outside, including Pizza...

We stayed at the Annapurna only because we had decided to stay at the Fish Tail Lodge at Pokhara and the Lodge belongs to the same group. The hotel was suggested by the executive who took our booking for Pokhara. I would have preferred to stay in any other hotel, but this. This is not a bad hotel at all,...

Situated next to the US Embassy, one of the luxurious places to stay or take your loved ones to eat. Also the Casino well maintained, and very helpful staff. Also the surrounding area is very nice. You have a shopping mall, a movie theatre and a nice pub just outside the hotel. The best part if that the place is...

Both of the US Search & Rescue teams stayed here as we were making plans to return home. Then Nepal was hit with the May 12th 7.3 quake, so we returned to action. The hotel allowed us to use their facility to run all of our operations from. The staff was quick to get as many services as possible operational....

I checked into this hotel a few days after the earthquake - it was filled to the brim with people there for earthquake relief, and many of the staff were not there because they'd had to attend to their own families and property. As a result, the remaining staff were overworked and overtired. Because the safety of the dining room...

This is an unexceptional hotel with an unwarranted pretension to be a 5-star property. My bed mattress was sagging at the edges (probably because of age or bad manufacture) and I had to insert a pillow below it level it off, and then managed to sleep. For WiFi in the room they wanted an additional $ 12. When I protested...

Established in 1965 and named after Annapurna, the Goddess of Abundance, the Hotel provides the finest personal service and facilities in Nepal's fabled emerald valley, and its cultural, political and commercial capital. The Hotel has a total of 151 recently renovated Deluxe and Heritage guestrooms, including 5 suites, equipped with modern amenities such as the latest flat screen TV, bedside lighting & climate control unit, tea & coffee making facilities, mini bar and electronic safe. The atmosphere within the 5-acre property is warm and relaxed, the ambiance embracing the unique and friendly essence of Nepali culture and traditions. The Hotel is an architectural marvel, cleverly combining the local pagoda-style with contemporary flair. The Hotel is also famous for its popular eating outlets. The Coffee Shop is the all day, every day place for favourite eats and drinks and surprising new delights. The capital's most exotic Chinese restaurant, the Arniko Room, has established itself as one of the culinary wonders of modern Nepal. In keeping with modern times, the Hotel is entirely Wi-Fi enabled. With extensive banquet and conferencing facilities, beautifully landscaped garden, one of the largest hotel swimming pools, well-equipped gym, business center and the most prestigious shopping arcade, our property is also within easy reach of religious, historical, cultural, architectural and shopping destinations, as well as Government offices, diplomatic missions and airline offices.
