The positives of Hotel Kathmandu Terrace is that it is cheap and I found the staff quite friendly. However the rooms, especially the bathroom were not in a good condition. My room did not have a tv as promised and service was poor, also hot water was a rarity.

I have to agree with other people here and I will copy one part of the review here: he room, the attached bathroom were dark (not well illuminated), stuffy (high moisture) and smelly. There was a 'opening' in the room but it was a fixed glass. The glass was broken anyway. The worse thing was the tap water, which was...

We chose the hotel for the good location and cheap price. That's all it has going for it. For the same price or just a few dollars more there are infinitely better choices in Thamel. The staff is friendly but a bit pushy (more than in other hotels). The rooms we have seen are all on the interior and have...

I have booked and paid for 2nights at Kathmandu Terrace. However I chose to have the room charges forfeited after I checked into my room. The room given to me was 204. The stairways, the room, the attached bathroom were dark (not well illuminated), stuffy (high moisture) and smelly. There was a 'opening' in the room but it was a...

Hotel Kathmandu Terrace was really good value. It's cheap, clean and has really friendly and helpful staff. If you need anything just ask Deven the restaurant manager and he'll take care of everything for you. I will definately stay here next time I find myself in Kathmandu.

This hotel has a lot of character. Devin, the guy at the front desk is a fantastic guy, always happy to help you with anything. The prices here are excellent compared to other places I've stayed in Thamel, and the quality of the rooms is much higher. They have a generator so the power stays on even during the cuts...

Once you walk out of the hotel premise, you are in the midst of activity, could it be shopping, dining or just simply spending time on the street to soak in the atmostphere of the area. For those who are budget conscious, this is the hotel you must stay as it is affordable and clean.
