Prakeesh at the front door was always in a great mood, welcoming you to his home! This hotel has so much charm, we loved it! there is no elevator. breakfast in the garden was delicious and they have a little restaurant attached. Location is right in the middle of the Thamel, you can find anything 24/7.

Overall the experience was very good! As vegetarians it's often difficult to get adequately catered for. There were no problems here and I could swap out and add in any extras for no charge. They also made a real effort to make things easy for us by allowing us to print further travel documents from their printer and to check...

This hotel is in the middle of Thamel, which within walking distance to any of the stores in Thamel shopping district, about 10 mins walk from Gardens of Dreams and about 20 mins walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. I love how I could go shopping in Thamel early in the morning and at night since it's so near from the...

The Ambassador Garden is an Oasis in the sea of craziness that is Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal. This family owned and run hotel is very quaint and offers all kinds of Nepali decorations throughout the hotel. Lobby is warm and comfortable and an excellent place to meet fellow travelers - many of whom are heading to or returning from Treks, Charity...

Stayed here over years. All remains good except a few things need to be corrected. The wifi doesn't work properly anywhere. You get logged out every half hour. iPad couldn't connect to wifi. Only android phones could connect. Inside the hotel rooms thete is lot of noise when guests or employee walk, close doors or even whisper. Early morning employees...

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Thamel. Very comfortable and nice hotel, with helpful and friendly staff. We only had one full day in Kathmandu, so the staff helped us figure out an affordable car for the day to see the highlights. On the one hand, it was awesome to be so close to the action; on the other,...

Recently stayed here for 5 nights as part of a group who had been trekking. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and, despite being in the middle of Thamel, the garden was very relaxing and quiet. Staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much bother. A lovely little oasis in which to escape the magical chaos that is...

In Thamel you have a lot of accommodation options. But if you want to stay in a proper place with reasonable price, it is absolutely the best option. It is a family run small hotel, when you check-in, they told you the history of the their family. The room is spacious, strong hot shower (it is not a must in...
