I spent about a week here while vacationing on the country, and it was a good place. It's in a great, safe location, close to all of Thamel's shops and restaurants (and a lot of other attractions are within walking distance.) The room wasn't much to brag about, but it's somewhere to sleep. It has free Wi-Fi and they can... More

I marked a few amenities as "not sure" because, well, I'm not sure. I sure did not come to Kathmandu to finally deal with one thousand unopened e-mails mostly there to advertise or otherwise annoy, savor long baths and/or chill in front of AC. I did Peace Corps in Nepal some fifteen years back, and love visiting whenever I can.... More

Ok, so this place turned out to be a good find for us. We arrived in Kathmandu and struggled to find affordable accommodation...then we found this place. Its run-down and the rooms are more than a bit dingy, but if you're used to backpacker style accommodation then this is no problem. Our room was cheap and we negotiated a good... More

The room was very affordable (1,000 rupees/night), but the room and especially the bathroom is pretty dingy. Definitely could use a scrub down. Working TV was nice, but the remote was busted so I couldn't change the channel. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I've stayed at another hotel in Thamel that was only 300 more rupees/night and it was substantially... More

Well... This was my first night in Nepal. I didn't know where I was - tired of the long trip and lost in space. Room was small with bed and nothing else in there. Washed out bedclothes and a shabby towel you could see through... "View" from the window was at the back alley and a wall across the street.... More

From the start of my booking with Hotel Visit Nepal they were great. Prior to my arrival the owner was exceptionally helpful and answered a barrage of questions concerning logistics, transfers and even TV channels (my friend needed to watch the cricket World Cup). When we arrived the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, very welcoming and smiley which... More

This hotel is located in the centre of Thamel, close to many restaurants and stores. Dunbar square is about 15 minutes away by foot. Rooms are not very spacious and the bathrooms need to be rebuild, but still, the bedsheets are clean. There's a very nice roof-terrace after the 4th floor, with a beautiful view of Kathmandu!
