A very good place to stay, Friendly people, a nice garden to have breakfast or if you want you can have breakfast on the balcony that you can find on each level. The showers are splendid. When I will visit Kathmandu again I certainly go back to Elbrus home. Thanks for the hospitality. Eric and Niels from Holland.

We just kept coming back. We stayed here on 5 separate occasions during our travels in Nepal. The staff were amazing. The rooms were comfortable. Free breakfast is fantastic. Awesome garden and rooftop. Cute friendly dog. Good location. WiFi was sometimes questionable but good enough to do the basics. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Thamel. We miss our Nepali...

Always stay here when I'm passing through Kathmandu. It's a great location to work out of when checking out Kathmandu and Khem and his staff are chilled as and always know how to please you! Clean rooms, adequate bathrooms and Everest Beer in the fridge; 10/10 for a hostel type of stay.

My first stop off in Nepal and it was a great experience! Very welcoming and friendly people. A nice relaxing space whilst really central to the heart of Thamel. Beautiful garden, succulents and flower pots adorn the rooftop and balconies with nice light and colour, creating a great vibe to relax and chill out. Bedrooms are comfy and the breakfast...

I loved this place! Clean rooms, but mostly the staff made me to feel at home. Hot coffee all I could drink at any time. Great breakfast and hot water. 6 stars from me, especially for price. I had been on a long trek through Nepal andso my time in KTM was a sweet end. I liked that it was...

Khem, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure our stay at his establishment was comfortable - he organised taxis, money exchange, quick laundry turn over and generally sorting us out before departing Nepal - a very helpful and kind man. The accomodation was comfortable, our room had lots of sun, was clean and tidy with a super comfortable bed...

Top palace for most trips in Katmandu, nice and lovely garden proper breakfast plenty of coffee and juice friendly and really helpful service of all including staff. Stayed here third time and each satisfied. Price totally OK and even they organize cheaper taxi as you can get it yourself. Rooms clean and there is hot water even at the moment...

The location is perfect, just outside Thamel and therefore not as noisy as most of the guesthouses inside Thamel. Staff is very friendly, they made me feel very welcome. Clean rooms, lovely showers and a brilliant rooftop view. A lot of (good) books in the library. Breakfast was good! Ideal for couples, maybe a little bit too expensive for backpackers.

A few minutes walk from Thamel, Elbrus provides a quiet retreat. A peaceful garden, good breakfasts and tea anytime thrown in with the fees. We found Kathmandu lodgings more expensive than we expected, but looking around others Elbrus seems as good a deal as any. Comfortable, clean, bug free, and very friendly. Khem couldn't do enough for us. We stored...
