We loved everything about Elbrus Home - the staff, the rooms, the garden and the complimentary breakfast were so good that we didn't bother trying any other hostels in Thamel. When my partner got a bad bout of food poisoning on our third day, the staff offered to drive us to the hospital and provided him with some toast and...

We stayed at Elbrus at different moments during our two months trip in nepal. Very comfortable beds and hot shower. Breakfast that is included is huge and us good fuel for exploring the city. You might end up in the annex accross the road which is equally as comfy, just ask whether there is room in the main building, we...

I stayed at Elbrus twice while in Nepal, before and after a tour. For my first stay I had a private double with bathroom attached, which opened up onto one of the shared terraces. It was a welcome point of safety and comfort as I adjusted to the culture of Kathmandu. On my return I had a triple room to...

Nice and quiet hostel(relative to the sentral location). Very friendly and helpful staff. The included breakfast is simple, but very good. Location is perfect, and pretty easy to find. Rooms are clean and there is (most of the day) warm water in the shower. All inn all I'd say you get more than you pay for. Can certainly recommend it...

I swear there's nothing more relaxing then sitting on one of the terraces after an afternoon in Thamel. The owners were always very helpful and cheerful. It was an amazing way to start our trip in Nepal.

I stayed at the Elbrus for 4 nights and would thoroughly recommend it to any traveller looking for genuinely friendly hosts, great location (5 minute walk from the chaos of Thamel) , immaculately clean and spacious well appointed rooms over the 2 sites and a beautiful garden that acts as an oasis of calm where the sumptuous breakfast is served....

Elbrus home was a nice and welcoming backpacker hostel near Thamel. The staff was always helpful, friendly, funny and not pushing. Rooms are okay for the price. Breakfast is quite big and delicious. It was very nice that there always was drinking water. The hostel has a nice small green garden. The security man at the entrance was a good...

Very great place to stay on a budget and quite convenient to sightseeing around Kathmandu, with the benefit of being a tad removed from the more crowded areas. Very nice and helpful staff! Facilities were clean and comfortable enough.
