The perfect place to start our trip in Nepal was the Holy Lodge, via email they had organised transport from the airport for us, which was great since it was my first time in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The following morning during our delicious breakfast, we were fortunate enough to meet Madhukar. He went out of his way...

Having booked a family room at this hotel 5 days in advance, we arrived to find there was someone still in the room who obviously had not been informed that the room had been booked. The staff put us in another room because our child was desperately ill and vomiting, but checkout time came and went with us tending to...

Being in the heart of Thamel, the noise level is high especially on weekends, but great restaurants and shopping are all around. Holy Lodge has caring staff who can help if something goes wrong. My husband got sick, they helped me change my flight, get medicine, and offered to get doctor to come day or night. I felt safer knowing...

In comparison to various mountaim huts I stayed in the Langtang Valley area this hotel was average. It wasn't a bad hotel and not a great hotel. It's a place to sleep, get some wi-fi and take a shower. The price is competitive. The reason for not giving a 4 star is that they wrote down my reservation for a second night...

This was the first place we stayed on our trip to Nepal, and it was nice. The room was spacious, the roof terrace was beautiful and the staff were lovely. We were picked up from the airport, which was a surprise that we hadn't expected, but we didn't realise it was a taxi until about half an hour after we...

This hotel is in the heart of Thamel district, but fortunately in a relatively more quiet street. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Rooms that have en-suite offer a good shower. Staff are friendly. Rooftop is pleasant. Breakfast acceptable. Overall for a budget range hotel i think this is excellent value for money.

I trekked around Nepal for 3.5 months in Aug-Nov 2015 and every time I went back to Kathmandu between treks, I went back to the Holy Lodge. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The showers are hot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is basic and food is so-so. The rooftop garden is a great place to...

Stayed one night here. I got a three person room for myself with a TV and aircon. The aircon didn't work. The toilet didn't flush (I used a bucket to flush it). The shower was very strange and I couldn't get warm water. WiFi worked very well.
