We arrived and our hostess gave us a history and tour of the house.
Our room was large and comfortable. It was warm so the window a/c unit and floor fan were working hard to keep it cool. They were a little loud but still bearable.
We were the only guests so we could name our time for breakfast. The table was set with the coffee and tea ready when we came downstairs. The egg and sausage casserole was great as were the cinnamon muffins.
Everything was wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Thank Mongo1234

We were so delighted with the Engle House! We stayed while I was working in town and Chris made us feel so at home. While eating breakfast on our first morning, she told us all about the history of the house and the different places that we could visit while in Abilene. Breakfast was delicious and kept us full until dinner! The Lancaster room was beautiful- we had lots of space to spread out and it felt very private and quiet. Chris made sure that we were happy and comfortable. We can’t wait to come and stay again!

What a wonderful historic home available to experience. The house itself is interesting with many unique details and has connections to Abilene's past. The room was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. The best part is the friendly hosts who will help you make your Abilene visit the best it can be.

Gorgeous historical home with a fun history that has been recently furnished and updated. Comfortable beds (she IRONS the sheets!!!), interesting art and historical items, delicious breakfast made from scratch that morning, great location and good value. The owners/hosts were delightful, helpful and gave more than expected.
