The broad brushstrokes are: the Kampala Serena is a good hotel to stay at because of its very good customer service (‘muy bueno servicio de atención al cliente’), great amenities, and great tasting “repertoire of internationally themed and locally inspired cuisine”. Without phrasing economy and thought discipline, here are my reasons for the foregoing appraisal: The rooms are well-appointed, modern...

I was traveling for business and stayed for 14 days. I really enjoyed Kampala, and the Serena is an excellent hotel. I’m glad I stayed there and will certainly return if I travel to Kampala for business. The prices on Trip Advisor are well above the USG per diem, so I may have to think about it if I’m traveling...

Stayed here for business but it felt like home. Staff extra helpful. Upgraded me to the top floor with amazing views over Kampala. Very well located. Walking distance to all my clients. Pool very secluded The gym is one of the best equipped hotel gyms I've visited

We stayed here for several days while in Kampala and loved it! Rooms are large and well kept with large bathrooms and air conditioning. Very professional staff and always there to help. Restaurants: There are at least three places to eat at the hotel. The Explorer was our favorite of them. It serves very good Italian food for a reasonable...

It is not a new property but it is in very good condition. Rooms are big and comfortable and toiletries are quite good. Common areas are ok and you can see all around a superb collection of African art on display. The Spa and fitness room are great. I had one of the best massages ever, from a guy I...

The Kampala Serena is an excellent choice for a family holiday, a wedding or even a business trip. With great service and an exciting mouthwatering collection of exotic and local dishes, you can't go wrong. My favourite place though is the Pearl of Africa Restaurant. Their dinner is a class apart complete with live music and great ambiance. If you...

I love this hotel. If you are looking for relaxation look no further. The ambience of the hotel is wonderful, the people are very friendly and the rooms are luxurious and comfortable. This hotel has the best bed I have ever slept on. They have several restaurants with everything you may desire. The pool area is great for relaxation, however,...

I stayed at the serena on a business trip. The hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in Africa. Everything in the stay was perfect, it is a oasis in the middle of chaotic kampala. Very good security, impressive rooms with lots of space and an excellent 5 star service The rooms have standard pillow menus, the...
