I stayed in Sheraton Kampala for 3 days part of my trip to Uganda, The hotel gardens is nice and the view from the hotel is amazing. People are friendly and the staff is well trained. Rooms are acceptable, bit old taking into consideration the hotel was renewed in the 90's. Food is good and clean. However i had a... More

We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon here. We got a nice room on the 8th floor. It was quite nice, the view of Kampala was awesome, and the free wifi was surprisingly fast. They have good customer care and a wonderful breakfast buffet. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

I don't want to complain but i see no reason to pay this amount to a hotel in Kampala. That is a big money for Uganda. And there is even one hotel more expensive than Sheraton in Kampala. Ask for a room that does'n face Speke road so that you can sleep before 3 o'clock in the morning.

Aircon was warm. Room is dated compared to other Sheraton in south east Asia. Price on the high side for what you can get in other country. Service was great, F&B personnel, Mercy was friendly, helpful and attentive. But at the end probably the best hotel in Kampala. A live bad in the bar would be nice.

Clean, friendly service. Rooms were well appointed and clean. The pool facilities are old and get crowded on the weekend. I am a starwood gold member and no special benefit is afforded in this hotel unlike most worldwide properties which is an issue. Starwood may want to make sure its foreign properties are honoring the rewards program. The most disappointing... More

Lovely hotel by all accounts, unfortunately the incompetence of the staff is a problem, it is mostly well intentioned but training is very much lacking on all fronts. There is also the constant rumbling of a generator on the entire side of the hotel, despite explicitly asking to not be placed on that side prior to check in. It makes... More

This is supposed to be one of the nicest hotels in Kampala. If compared to US hotels, it would be a 6-7 on a 10 point scale. They have a nice sitting area in the back for drinks, the food is awful. I don't know how you screw up french fries, but they did make some soggy nasty fries. We... More

Supposedly one of the best hotels in Kampala, but like all hotels in Africa bedevilled by lack of maintenance. The TV wasn't working on room entry, and the wall sockets were fused. First, let's be honest, the selection of business hotels most Europeans and Americans would frequent in Kampala are limited. So with that out of the way, I'd say hands down I'd stay here again (and have as you would see in my previous posts). That being said, the facility needs a face lift. The improvements done in the eating establishment... More
