Small average hotel. Weak wifi that is slow & drops off. Free buffet breakfast. V limited room service menu. I had a burger-sadly v disappointing but not much else to choose from Rooms old & dated nasty old mouldy bathrooms- had to request a hairdryer... Just glad I don't pay. But hotel does seem safe with armed guards on gate...

It is almost impossible to find any decent accommodation in Abuja so, if I had to rate this hotel anywhere else in the world, I would have given it a 2* rating. Pros - excellent staff. Good food. Free internet. Comfortable bed with good linens. Fridge and iron in room. Flat screen tv. Cons - constant banging from on-site building...

This little boutique hotel is an absolute gem. Small, well appointed, great friendly staff who make it a home from home. Restaurant has great food thanks to Chris the Chef. It is well located but in a quiet neighbourhood. Close to business areas and government departments. I will be back, in fact next week.

Porter assisted with my bags up several flights of stairs. Rooms are decent size with good AC, and modern Bathroom amenities are ok.

The security is well administered and the security guards polite. The hotel is in need of a makeover. The beds are the hardest that I have slept on. Normal issues such as not able to regulate the position of shower heads, electricity brown outs, internet very slow and sporadic, no gift nor necessities shop or kiosk, etc. Food reasonably good...

Protea is a very good hotel suited for business travelers. I had been hosted here with both international and local business partners. They have good Gym visited by both expatriates and locals. Their food is very good. For its category, I will rate it very good.
