We spent one night in the Olive Grove as we traveled from San Francisco to Sossusvlei. We had an upstairs room which was great as it had more privacy than the rooms on the first floor that are near the restaurant. The room was spacious enough to spread out our suitcases and the shower was divine. We ate dinner on...

My three nights at this guest lodge were a pleasure. The staff go the extra mile to be helpful and friendly and it is so convenient that they offer a very adequate and delicious lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. The rooms are pretty and comfortable, except for the cold concrete floor on ones bare feet, but that is...

We recently stayed at the olive grove guesthouse for two nights on our three week honeymoon, before and after our four day safari to Etosha park. The places is wonderful, a Mediterranean villa tucked away in the suburbs of Windhoek. If you wanted to stay in the city centre this might not be the best choice but we thought it...

I spent a night here at each end of my Namibian trip and while the staff were lovely and helpful I was a bit underwhelmed by the room. I was upstairs, apparently a 'luxury room' but it was a bit tired and, though comfortable, not luxurious. To be fair, I did not have very much time there on either occasion,...

I stayed a total of 3 nights, 2 on arrival in Namibia & then my final night. I was a solo traveller & I can not praise the hospitality I received highly enough! ALL staff ( not just management) took me under their wings & went out of their way to make me feel welcome & to check I was...

My wife and I stayed here two nights before and after our recent safari in Namibia. We stayed in a standard room (11) the first night and an executive room (6) the last. In each case the room was well appointed and comfortable. The bigger room was definitely worth the extra. Service was outstanding throughout, with the staff eager to...

We stayed at Olive Grove just for a night on our way to a safari. The place was clean and user friendly. The room was a bit cramped with no seating space except the bed. The breakfast was good. If using a taxi to go to a restaurant, make sure to clarify the fare prior to your journey.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city center in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on decor. The open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. Whilst each of the eleven rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. ... more   less
