The breakfast was good. Selection was great and the personal was friendly. Our room number 3 was very small. The windows were also very small and with the view to the parking area. There was a smell mold in the room. The guesthouse was very bad zu find, only with GPS.

Excellent, lovely little place to stay in a lovely city. Staff were able to fit us in for a second night as an emergency because of a flight change. Very friendly and helpful, great food and a genuinely great place to stay. Would highly recommend staying here when traveling in Windhoek. Good recommendations from staff for sites and places to...

Rooms were large, beautiful, and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood and as such is not really in walking distance to restaurants / nightlife / etc. I wanted to praise the front desk staff (especially the lady in glasses whose name I don't remember). She was extremely capable and efficient -- for example, she hustled a popular...

Stayed here on the first night of our trip to Namibia and wasn't terribly impressed. The staff were helpful but rather abrupt and not particularly welcoming. The room was OK, spacious but everything looked a bit tired, not quite the 'boutique' type of accommodation we were expecting. The food for us was OK but our vegetarian friends we were traveling...

We used this as a place to stay on arriving in Windhoek. It was just for one night, before starting our self drive adventure. Not a great vibe though. Outside our room there had been work going on to concrete / resurface some floor and some of the dust from this was still on the floor inside our room. It...

Welcoming is correct and the food is good. The rooms are comfortable if you like the style. But it is noisy in the early morning and far from the center. The swimming pool is a joke ! We can recommend the place for a 1 night stay, the value is correct.

This is fine for a night but nothing more. The rooms and food are fine, service was good but I found the place little bit claustrophobic. The common areas either looked over a car park or into rooms, there is a small pool area but not enough to provide any sense of space. It is fine for one night.

After a your long flight from Europe it's as far as you would like to drive on your first day in Namibia. Nice welcome from the staff and easy check in. Room nice and quirky. Good information from front desk on the local sights. Booked dinner in house for later. Headed out to spin around the town and sight see....

The food was so good, we were actually startled! The rooms, all differently laid out, are all very intelligently designed, spacious and comfortable. Every single staff member we met was what I would have expected at a five-star hotel. I stayed the Olive Grove at the beginning of my trip to that jewel of a country, Namibia, and liked it...

This is a charming boutique hotel away from the centre of town and away from the vanilla flavour of large international hotel chains. The rooms are functional and have all the facilities a traveller could want, including very fast wifi. There was no expectation of 6 star luxury or 3 star Michelin. This is an unpretentious stay and a delight...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city center in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on decor. The open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. Whilst each of the eleven rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. ... more   less
