The hotel is located in a good location and has a good view overlooking the city. The service was very good and having breakfast in a 100 years castle is an amazing experience. I heard the sunset there was beautiful but we arrived too late and didn't see it.

We didn't expect this sort of luxury in Windhoek. Our first night in Namibia. Wonderful views of the city. Beautiful rooms. Excellent restaurant. We saw cape fox, guinea fowl and hyrax in the grounds. The hotel has a pool but we didn't use it. Only stayed one night.

My wife and I were surprised by some of the recent reviews as we stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of a 2 week tour of Namibia and enjoyed our stay on both occasions. The hotel has an excellent swimming pool area but the highlight is the terrace overlooking the city where one can sit for a drink...

The grounds and overall feel of Hotel Heinitzburg are truly lovely. Having a drink on the terrace overlooking the city of Windhoek is a treat. I wrote a separate review of the food. I wish I could say that the experience of staying here one night was a total win but HH is out of step in ways which add...

We stayed here one night renting two rooms, one for us and one for our kids. The room that our kids were given smelled so bad from mold we couldn't even enter the room. Our room was bad but not as bad. I went to the lobby and and complained to the manager, who treated me with contempt for even...

Rooms glitzy and spacious around central courtyard away from centre of Windhoek. Nice terrace overlooking Windhoek........Be warned ....Don't eat here ,not Relais & Chateaux Standard. Owner unpleasant and not friendly.

Ideally located at about 30 minutes from the international airport, overlooking Windhoek, this is the perfect spot at the start or end of your tour in Namibia. After 3 weeks traveling through lovely Namibia we spend 1 night at this lovely hotel preparing ourselves for a long flight back. This is a great hotel with all you are looking for...

This hotel, situated above the town, has a gorgeous terrace. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Really lovely. BUT be warned: don't eat here. This might have been the worst "upscale" (read faux gourmet) meal we've ever had. Impossible to eat.

Located centrally, this hotel offers a nice setting and nice views on the city. Although the outside building looks a bit like a little “manor”, one should not expect much luxury or cosy feeling inside. The room we got (located on the ground floor near the reception area) was decorated very simply with old and rather cheap looking furniture. The...

Originally I tried to book into a boutique hotel in Windhoek but after a long series of flights we really appreciated arriving at this comfortable, competent hotel. It probably isn't the equivalent of other Relais&Chateaux outside of Namibia but neither is it too stuffy too cope with two teenagers, worn out after 24 hours travelling. We found the hotel and...
