Have just returned from a 3 weeks photo expedition in Namibia and stayed a total of 4 nights at Chameleon Backpackers, at the beginning of my trip and upon my return. it's not only a great place to meet fellow travellers and locals here, but also a great start to your trip for experiencing Namibian hospitality and learn about the...

Hi Susan, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and your trip to Namibia. We love what we do which I think is the most important part as it feels less and less like work everyday and creates a great atmosphere for our guests! I will certainly pass on your great feedback to our guides who work...

I stayed in a dorm-style room for two separate nights. The staff is super friendly and helpful (and all seemed to learn my name in a very short time). The rooms are clean and the beds comfy. There are lots of areas to relax and they serve dinner at the bar. This hostel is also close to the center of...

This represents a terrific value for those who want a private room in a small, friendly place in central Windhoek. Like others, we began and ended our visit to Namibia here. We stayed in the Elephant Room (excellent) on our first night and the Lovebird Room (very good) the last night. This is not a raucous party hostel. It has...

It is a great place to stay and very central in Windhoek. Excellent value for money and everybody is really friendly.Very clean but the dishwashing hygiene has room for improvement.I am aware that water is a precious resource in Namibia but the dishwashing water which is used by all that have breakfast should be changed more frequently.

I stayed in two different dorms and two different tents. The dorms were the best I've ever stayed in, they were spacious which was beautiful, they were spotless and had a clean toilet and shower in the next room. I would recommend the Kingfisher dorm if it's available as I did not manage to get a wifi signal in the...

We stayed there for in total of three nights (one at the beginning and two at the end of our trip) this June and it was great! It's a very good starting point for your adventure with Namibia. Very good value for money you pay. We had a double room and it was quite cosy, clean and we cannot say...

This place is spacious, clean and cool. People are nice and friendly, I mean both the host and guests. Everything is well organised, there is even a safe in the room. The owner(s) must have put in a lot of thought, and I thank you for that. Wifi is only limited to the reception area due to range. We could...
