Hochland Nest Camping site is not owned by the Lodge although they do the bookings and should therefore make sure that the facilities are kept clean and presentable to the public. It is confusing because the camping and lodge operate under the same name, but are not at all on the same standard. The camping site is owned by the... More

Before I can say why I cannot recommend this lodge, I have to mention Josiah, who is the bellboy, waiter, barman and anything else you can think of. He is the only reason we stayed for the 2 nights booked. Nothing was too much for this guy, and he had such pride in his work. On arrival, we had to... More

I had an overnight stay at Hochland nest this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised that a place this majestic has been soo close to Windhoek without me knowing it. The welcome was warm, the staff were the most friendliest I have honestly seen in a long time. The chef made a very delicious dinner. We were fortunate enough... More

This lodge deserves much more attention from tourists than it is getting now. Wonderful location with calming view over hilly landscape, many animals, meercats visiting during breakfast. Some of the chalets, this has been mentioned in other reviews repeatedly, could do with some modernization - but this does not really disturb the overall good feeling..Note that the pool is small,... It is a nice lodge on a hilltop overlooking a watering hole. The chalets are nice but a little rusty. Staff is friendly. It is not a place for disabled people because you have to walk quite far from the parking lot to the rooms. It took us a lot of effort to bring our suitcases to and from the... More

Hochland Nest is located not too far from Windhoek. If you arrive and do not want to be in the ciy for your first night, Hochland Nest is an excellent option. It is not difficult to find and the location is stunning and feels very remote. A great way to relax from your (overnight) flight. We were the only guests,... More

The location (50 km from Windhoek) is perfect for a short well deserved breakaway for locals, and tourists wanting to experience luxury in the Khomas Hochland. The service is a attentive and friendly by well trained staff. We stayed at the Lodge in the chalets, but camping site are available for the more adventurous. The climb to the chalets could... More

My traveling group stayed at Hochland Nest for one night, en route to Etosha from Sossusvlei. I must say, the location is an ideal place to stop and break up a long journey. Hochland Nest is located not too far outside Windhoek and is nestled in a farmstead, close to a major manmade water reserve. The property is designed to... More

I literally stumbled across this lodge at night after an exhausting day on the road (Namibian drivers believe they are immortal) and was received with aplomb, a pleasant light dinner and a decent bottle of wine. The chalet was spacious and comfortable with a breathtaking view. Breakfast was great in a beautiful setting. The cats (apparently descended from a wild... More
