The rudest woman (proprietor) I have ever met! We arrived just before midnight, and hungry and exhausted. The gate guard showed us our rooms and key. We slept without eating and a little late and went for breakfast at 9, (Bnb) the proprietor told us breakfast finished at 8am!!! I politely said that we had no idea that was the...

We didn't feel very welcomed by the owners. There's no wi fi at the lodge, which would be obviously very helpful for tourists. The food is very expensive in the restaurant. The chalet itself was comfortable and neat though.

Faboulous little find on route between Maputo & Xia-Xia, set a little bit off the main road it is a lovely quite setting for this lodge. The rooms are clean, uncluttered and spaceous with a rustic theme. The rooms are set in the grounds away from the main lodge reception/dining area which gives privacy & comfort. The food was delicious,...

If you are looking for a great stop inside Mozambique once you have crossed the border at Komatiepoort, look no further than the Blue Anchor Inn. Great couple running the Inn, good clean rooms, a fantastic dinner both times we stopped there and a good price too! Highly recommended!!

We passed by Blue Anchor on our way back to Maputo from Massinga. Paul and Liz made us feel so welcome. In addition to the AMAZING prawns and steak we had for dinner, we also had a lovely time chatting to Paul and getting a lesson on the history of Mozambique. Incredible food and amazing hosts. Highly recommend the spot!

We stopped over here after a 11 hour drive from Durban. The situation is just perfect. Clean comfortable rooms. Most rooms have safe parking right next to room so no need to unpack vehicle. Paul is a great host and a mine of information on Mozambique. The pub is cosy with great atmosphere. The menu is limited but thoroughly enjoyed...

We used the Blue Anchor Inn as a stop over for both our journey to and from Tofo near Inhambane recently. The lodge is lovely and very comfortable, but what stood out the most is the very friendly and hospitable hosts and staff. The food was AMAZING and plentiful.Liz was so accommodating and even packed cheese sandwiches for our children's...
