The reception staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel is generally very basic. The rooms are not kept as clean as they should and I was disappointed about inflexible management that did not allow us a late check-out but asked us to pay a full night extra although the hotel was empty. It's ok for a short business trip...

The Gold Leaf is well located, close to the center of Port Louis. Facilities are rather limited but is close to shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are large, comfortable and clean if a little dated. Good value for money.

Cool hotel near to the city centre. Good if you have any work to carry out in the city early in the morning as it will save you time instead of being blocked in traffic. Not too expensive and very affordable.

The hotel is run down and shabby. The bathrooms have showers and faucets that do not work. The place is always empty and has a ghostly feel to the rooms. Breakfast is rudimentary and of low quality. There is no room service or a restaurant in the property. Closest place for food is Caudan Waterfront less then 1 km but...

The hotel is fair enough to me if we compare to it's price, since living in mauritius a little bit expensive I think. This hotel is for the one who want to save money for lodging, the place it self quite strategic near le caudan water port, you can take walk from this hotel.

Situated in a kind of a down town place. Very nice on the outside and reception area. But inside the room, upon entering, it was very hot! Aircon was left on and it was already blazing hot outside. The chairs was hard. Sheets thin. The bathroom most of all was DIRTY! The room wasn't cleaned before we came and they...

The hotel is situated along side the motorway but thats not the problem. Trouble is one's safety, there is constant drug dealing going on the road outside the hotel, including deals on the steps of the hotel. There are prostitutes that are sent by the owners at night to offer their services to clients. Further to that is the fact...

The hotel is on the motorway on the outskirts of Port Louis. It has a first floor restauarant that is popular with locals and extremely helpful staff and management. That is the good news. the bas news is that the hotel, even though it is new, is at best shabby. The rooms smell and the smaller standard rooms are to...
