A Chinese hotel. Rooms are ok. Service is really poor. Not to forget the Resturant. Paper cups. Difficult to find clean cutlery. We were planning a 3 day stay and checked out after the first night. The good kept me up all night on the toilet. The view from my room overlooked the workers lodging. Bad really bad

Chinese hotel that appears to cater for Chinese tourists and workers in town. The rooms have relatively nice furniture, but the carpet, curtains, and chairs start to look rather worn. The bathrooms are nice with spacious showers, bathtub, and modern accessories. The internet is working better than before, but a bit slow. The gym is a joke. It has several...

This is another good option for a quick stopover, especially for business travelers. The location is best feature of this hotel. The rooms open up on back side to maize plantations exceeding till as far as one could see. The hotel room has everything "Made In China" ! The hotel has a grand lobby & gym is well equipped. The...

Pros: very smart comfortable room. Friendly staff. Lovely pool and tennis court. Cons: Outside of the very comfortable bedroom, you will likely develop irritation that will grow to unbearable levels if you stay more than 1 or 2 nights. BADLY MANAGED - our workshop was not well hosted by them, they stuffed up the arrangements, failing to lay on the...

DO NOT STAY HERE! 1. No hot water on arrival and for 24 hours there after. 2. Toilet continuously blocked. No plunger available either. Had to use another rooms toilet, also blocked, obviously plumbing issues. 3. Public toilet in foyer covered in URINE, no toilet paper, disgusting. 4. Pool acid thrown in pool about to swim. 5. Food at hotel...

The room was good, only problem is the restaurant was not available on lunch time. I spent one week there. Dinner was nice, many choices. The beef slice was too hard, while others are good. The staffs there were very friendly and helpful.

Brand new. Very clean but not to the standard of a four star! The place is too calm. No animation. The bar and restaurant need improvement. A 4 star should be able to provide food at any moment. But you will be told the restaurant closes at 3.00pm or at 9.00 pm!

The only thing in this hotel that is great is the Malawian staff. Below is an account of what stinks (literally) about this hotel. This hotel, The Golden Peacock, is owned and operated by the Chinese with Malawian staff. I have a Deluxe Queen Room. Everything is “Made in China,” which equates to cheaply made furnishing and supplies complete –...

This was certainly not the best place to stay in but cannot be classified as very good, the rooms are adequate size, slippers and access to the roof top can be encouraging but we found the food offerings to be disappointing. There was a lot of confusion at check-in and more so at check-out, this seems to be a normal...
