Had a 1 night business stay at the hotel. The room and hotel is okay. The swimming pool is not good and freezing and with a 5* hotel you would expect pool staff, drinks served by the pool etc. The real reason for my poor review is that i paid for a day use room as was going to be...

Stayed here for three nights and the room was north facing so once the sun came out it was on this side of the building so remember to close the curtains when not in the room otherwise it's like an oven when you return. Great facilities and the food at the Pool BBQ was better than the restaurant for dinner....

I was pretty much inspired by the top level hospitality practiced by the staff. I felt extremely comfortable. The meals were fantastic. So were the restaurants, services, and cafes! I am so happy that I spent my full week in the Hotel. Malagasy Hospitality is fantastic, inspirational and reminds me of the diversity, understanding and mutual tolerance and respect. THANK...

Quite a great Hotel in the country and located in a "quieter" part of the city. Though pricey compared to others in Antananarivo, it is relatively upscale with good ambience. Banqueting was satisfactory as we had a group business dinner for about 70 people. The staff are courteous though speaking english is a struggle for most people in Antananarivo hotels.

Hotel location is best in town. Room was small but clean. I am vegetarian hence had to face problem with food but staff managed some vegetarian food for me. Though there was small glitch in my bill but overall very good service, nice location, nice staff.

Formerly called Hilton where we first stayed in January 2003. Humid town with a 'curfew' almost after six o' clock. Uneasy aesthetically unpleasing and clumsy structure to be avoided at all costs. It lacks convincing relation to the terroir quality of Madagascar scenery or post-colonial or whatever you may have considered pertinent. The personnel although inclined to be of help...

Tiny rooms. 300USD per night. Much more value and spacious rooms at IBIS which is half the price and double the size, AND in a better location. Don't be followed by the name "Carlton" - which we assumed had some connection with the Ritz. The lobby is a decoy because once you get to your room you will be unable...
