Great place...friendly staff, Malagasy welcoming atmosphere, Customers driven management....and best value for money....You could choose to stay at the 4 Star Colbert Hotel just down the hill not far from where the Nialouy is located....For the same price (as what you would pay if you were staying at the Colbert)..the Niaouly will offer you breakfast, lunch and dinner, a tour...

Really nice view from the balcony, with clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. There is free wifi in all hotel. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I`ll never forget the flavour of zebu filet! And the restaurant itself is a really nice place.

I am very surprised how clean and nice equiped the whole hotel is. Amazing view from the balcony and very friendly staff (only a few with little English skills - better know some French, but you know about this problem if you come to Madagascar anyway ;) Their food (I had zebu filet with rice) was INCREDIBLE and has a...

Nice hotel with a beautiful view from our balcony at Tana! Staff is very friendly and it's a very good value for money. Especially the prices of the restaurant is very cheap while its very good! Surrounding is save so you can easily explore the area by yourself. This was our mistake and we took some expensive guides from the...

It is actually called the 'Hotel Niaouly and restaurant'...and the food is the best part of it. Very good menu...the breaded chicken and chips was great, simple but tasty (I have been here a few weeks so the appreciation of the French habit of smothering food with sauces has worn off), and my colleagues raved about the lasagne. it is...

Love it, love you guys! I wish I had stuck to my pre-trip planning and research and had decided to stay here when I first came to Tana! As it happens I only ended up here during my last day after a mad overnight Taxi-Brousse trip from Ranomofana to cram in a few hours sleep and a much needed shower...

I once went to look at rooms with the intention of staying there. The staff were so indifferent to my waiting for information - chatting amongst themselves- that I decided to go elsewhere. I must admit that some other travelers I've met in Tana have spoken highly of it.

Positives: - Nice staff - Nice location - Good restaurant - Cheap - WiFi Internet - Nice atmosphere. Managers know how to be rude with sexual tourists. Negatives: - On a noisy street - Managers are great, but employees could more helpful - Bed bugs? Unless I got an allergy to something else. - Would gain a lot to adopt...

The location is excellent for Tana, especially for those who are travelling on foot or even public transport. It's very near the central downtown area (Analakely) - about a 10 minute walk. But it's just outside it enough that it seems a bit less crowded and also has some nice upper-class restaurants up and down the street nearby. It's also...

The general hotel ambience is reasonable for the price but our room (no 8) was awful. The bed sagged in the middle, the washing arrangements were crude, the shower almost unusable. Dinner in the restaurant was virtually inedible - we chose the dish of the day, chicken, which consisted of a few chicken bones and some rice. Breakfast was similarly...
