I found the apartment-style rooms of this hotel to be very comfortable for an extended stay. The location is great as well. The deal breaker for this hotel is that the room keys are universal keys. That means that any room key can open any other room... I pointed this out to the staff, and it didn't seem to be a concern. I tried opening other unoccupied rooms and was able to do so with my room key. Unless the hotel has changed the keying process, I can't recommend this hotel.
Rooms are fine, wifi connection throughout, clean and well kept. However the real bonus is the staff. The owner, Ahmed, is virtually always present on site, and is always available to help in whatever you need. The coffee shop within the hotel is one of the major meeting places in Tripoli. It is run a Ron, a Maltese chap, who truly knows how to entertain people. It stay open very late at night, and being in such a central location makes it an ideal meeting point for friends or business. Possible the only place in Tripoli where you can get a decent burger too.
