In June of 2008 we traveled to Ethiopia for purpose of child adoption reasons. The flight arrived late in the evening about 10.00pm or so. We were given a reference to stay at Ararat Hotel, so we got a taxi and headed to the hotel. Although we were given alternative hotel names, Ararat happened to be in the direction of...

Dear our reviewers, Thank you for the feed back that you have posted on the trip adviser web page regarding our hotel. It is customary to request for the guests passport for some safety majors during registration, but we have nothing to do with marriage certificates. In all circumstances we would like to request our guests to forgive us &...

A group of about 22 of us came and stayed here in October while we were on a mission trip. They were extremely accomodating and the rooms were really nice. The staff at the desk was wonderful as well. I would definitely stay here again!

If you're arriving to Addis Ababa for the first time you could do a lot worse than the Ararat. The staff is very kind and ready to help with all your needs and the restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. They also managed to serve us breakfast at 6.00am - something some top hotels (the Sheraton on the Park...

Our group of 21 people had nothing but compliments for the hotel and staff, from airport pick up to drop off. Staff was prompt, polite and efficient. Restaurant food was tasty and good value. Off the street location and spacious grounds provide a relaxed atmosphere.

I didn't know what to expect in Addis Ababa. I stayed at this hotel with a group from the USA. I travel a lot for business and am pretty picky about where I like to stay. I can't say enough about the helpful staff at the Ararat. Upon arrival I realized I had lost something and needed to call the...

Enjoyed our stay in in Addis Abeba, fine staff couldn't be much nicer! Rooms are fine, nothing fancy but they work. Restaurant offers fine dinning at very resaonable prices along with traditional Ethiopian dinning. I had many selections from the extensive menu, all were very good! Terraces and roof top could be improved with tables and chairs to enjoy the...

Located outside the city of Addis Abeba, the hotel lies on a small hill. The view of the city (especially from the roof) is therefore very nice. The place is quiet, although not located downtown (you have to take a taxi to go downtown). Hotel team is very preventing and always available to help you. There is a free wireless...

We were a party of 11 - teenagers to pensioners - attending a family event. The Ararat got the thumbs up from us all! The staff were unfailingly helpful, and friendly. We enjoyed the rooms, the food, the view. (Do not miss the separate Ethiopian restaurant - we nearly did) Ararat is not in a central position - so, quiet...
