Average hotel, large compound and a breakfast menu added to your reservation. Room was damp on arrival had to change for another which was fine. There's internet although the speed may be terrible to work with. Courteous staff, no one speaks any amount of English - which could be hectic getting help. Hotel is quite pricey, a single from was...

You simply cannot compare hotels in Luanda to hotels in eastern or southern Africa on a price-vs-luxury basis. Impossible! Luanda is a very expensive place to live , eat or visit... So, in the light of this... comparing Luanda hotels woth Luanda hotels... Vila Alice is not a bad place. Clean and neat. Small but enough for business. Meals are...

First of all, this is Luanda, so until crisis and currency devaluation brings prices to something comparable to other cities, you will still be paying an harm and a leg for a limited place like this. As i write this for the same price I would easily get a 4 star hotel in New York or London, in Luanda you...

I have stayed several times in Vila Alice Hotel, due to my other options be fully booked. The hotel is clean, but very basic. The bar is very limited, there are not room service and they only have dinner in buffet style, which cost 35USD. The breakfast is very poor. Wireless internet works good and there is a good selection...

I stayed in this hotel waiting between airport and joining a vessel offshore. I was here for 3 nights in April. This hotel is absolutely fine for the European traveller in Luanda. the rooms are very much standard; clean, wifi, coffee & tea facilities, tv, ensuite, and comfortable. hotel facilities are basic, with a small gym, bar and buffet resturaunt....

This hotel has a motel style setup. The 4 hotel buildings sort of form the four sides with parking in the center. The rooms are clean and not much for what you pay, but this is the only budget hotel I could really find. The buffet comprises Portuguese cuisine and costs USD 40 per meal. There is a Lebanese restaurant...

Only stayed for an afternoon due to evening flight. The room was ok and clean, but horrendously overpriced at $300/day I'd be surprised to pay $100 for a similar open plan motel setup anywhere else in the world. The lunch/afternoon restaurant was a buffet, quite limited but passable for just something to eat. No other frills such as pools etc....

Having visited Luanda for the last 20 years, I have got used to paying outrageous pricing for average hotels. The Vila Alice, based in the Maianga district of town, is relatively new and, at a rate of $300/night for Bed and Breakfast is considerably better value for money than other hotels charging between $420.00 and $450.00. It's probably more basic...

Stayed here for a night on business. Luanda is a difficult place to find quality accomodation at any price. On the positives the rooms were clean and neat and decently equipped. On the negative side the aircon in my room didnt work and thats when you experience that service is not part of the package. Called a technician who came...
