I had a perfectly lovely time at the Amadeus Garden Guest House in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe a quiet oasis at a great price! My only regret is that I could not stay for a third night as was our origional intent, but Air Zimbabwe changed their schedule and thus it was necessary for us to spend a night in Harare....

On our 25 day trip through Namibia, Botswana & Zimbabwe Amadeus was our last stay before flying home (from Vic Falls Airport) to Amsterdam. Beforehand we (2 aduts, 2 children 10 & 12) had some concerns about Vic Falls because of the situation in Zimbabwe. This because of news we read & heard in the Netherlands and stories from fellow...

We had a great experience at the Amadeus Garden. The guest house is very clean, quiet and the location is fine (walking distance to good restaurants and the falls . Hartmut Giering , the manager, was very nice and helpful with us. Katrine and the other employees very charming. Rooms are big, as well as the bathrooms. The breakfats was...

My family and I stayed at the Amadeus for three nights during our visit to Victoria Falls. Hartmut and all of the staff were extremely helpful, and the food and environs were fantastic. We were there during the July election. Despite what newspapers are saying, we felt extremely safe at all times. There were no problems at all! Seeing the...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my two girlfriends and were very happy with the service, the food, the rooms were very confortable and how nice and quiet and peaceful it was, yet we could still hear some wildlife in the distance and the Falls so we knew we were in Africa. Thanks to Miriam and staff who looked...

Dear Hartmut, We would like to thank you very much for a very warm hospitality that we were able to enjoy during our stay in Amadeus Garden. As usual it was a comfortable and quiet place to stay and relax. Also the hotel staff could not be more friendly and helpful, which meant that our stay was like staying in...

First off I'd like to point out that the Victoria Falls portion of Zimbabwe defied our expectations in the best way. No sign of any of the troubles that are taking place in Harare hundreds of miles away. Beautiful, almost magical natural setting. It's unfortunate that travelers seem to be avoiding this place because of all the media reports. But...

Hartmut and Miriam Giering were wonderful hosts for me as I finished my 5 country African adventure. The B&B was set up by my safari guide and I was very pleased. The place was very nice, spacious, clean and SAFE! They also provided transportation to the local area (something I was very grateful for with the upcoming elections in Zimbabwe)....

We experienced friendly staff and a clean room, and all close to the Victoria Falls. Travel advice given by the manager was accurate; we had a safe stay and considered it value for money.

Upon arrival in Vic Falls I asked locals for input on a place to stay that was a good value. There are a couple large resort type hotels in town but they were too expensive. Someone suggested this place. It is somewhere between a hotel and guesthouse. Big clean rooms, a pool, lots of personal attention, secure, and close to...
