Unfortunately this incredibly over-priced lodge lists as a five star but falls well short of that standard. The room itself did not have enough space for two people to walk about. The bathroom last saw any form of renovation many years ago and was so poorly lit that I am unsure how anybody is supposed to be able to shave...

my experience at Victoria Falls Safari lodge was acceptable in every way. I enoyed myself and felt very safe. The animals were a job to watch. The staff was exceptional. They were there whenever needed. I liked the room and service. I would reccomend it to friends and family. I would gladly visit again. Thank you.

overall satisfactory however they could improve their counter service . We bought a DVD after the helicopter ride from the hotel which promised to deliver to our rooms . But the two dvd were just left at the counter and we checked out without it. Halfway after crossing the border we realized it fortunately the hotel sent it to Livingston...

The staff was absolutely the best from arrival to departure. I celebrated my 50th birthday there and I wish I turned 50 years ago. I couldn't think of a better experience worth the money. Words can't explain how terrific this vacation was it gave me and my girlfriend memories that will last forever.

Aspects of this lodge hotel are excellent. Breakfast was a highlight - great service and food - and the outlook with a watering hole means there's always something to keep looking at. Vulture feeding time was a great spectacle and it was interesting to learn that so many carcasses are poisoned to cull the vulture population - nice to see...

The lodge in unique in Vic Falls due to its location overlooking a vast expanse of forest with animals passing by the lodge and a busy watering hole with visits from many different animals. The meals were varied and delicious. We had the watering hole facing rooms but didnt spend too much time there as the view is a little...

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge has nice rooms with lovely views. Our room was quite a distance from the main facilities which was fine during the day but dark to walk back at night. The pool was lovely as were the views. The vulture feeding was awesome. Many of the staff were pleasant and the meals were good.

I stayed for one night there and was very pleased with all. Service, food and of course the view. Every day one of the hotel workers feed the vultures and other wildlife with meat. While this is a spectacular experience for tourists I have my own doubts about its benefit from conservation perspective. Pick up fro airport cost $18 ,...

Thank you so much for your lovely review! Our Vulture Culture experience is solely conservation and education based, sadly their numbers are dwindling at an alarming rate, due to poisoning; power lines and traditional beliefs. They are amazing birds! Our elephants are not as frequent due to the fantastic rain we have received but they still visit every so often....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Voted the best Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe for 20 years running, the world-famous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers easy access to the iconic Victoria Falls, coupled with a wildlife experience that is truly unrivalled. Now in its 22nd year of welcoming guests, the Lodge is built on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park with endless unspoilt views to the horizon, just four kilometers from the Falls. This is the only sunset facing hotel in Victoria Falls, and the newly-renovated rooms and balconies are built up above a central waterhole which attracts herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, as well as night-time predators, such as lion and leopard. Our warm and personable staff are our greatest pride. Past guests frequently comment on our team's sublime hospitality and seamless delivery. The main areas of the lodge, such as the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant and the homely Buffalo Bar, are rich in ambience and also overlook the central waterhole, where drinks and dinners are often shared with wildlife meandering down to the water each day to quench their thirst. ... more   less
