The rest camp is very close to everything, which makes it a good base. The lodges are over rated - we stayed in a three-bedroom one with friends, but the bathroom and kitchen were accessed off one of the bedrooms, which was awkward. Also - the windows had no screens, so we had to keep them closed to keep the...

Thank you for taking time to review our facility. We are happy to learn that you found our place a good base, found the restaurant inexpensive and the service quicker. We hope you will stay with us again in the near future.

An awesome place to stay when attending the New Year's bash. Cheap, smack in the middle of everything, and well equipped. Very safe - even with all the activity, nothing goes missing from your campsite. Only area I suggest an upgrade, is wifi speed. Other than that... Top place to stay!

Apart from the noise, that we were warned of b4 hand, good place and all gratitude and appreciation to the staff that kept the ablution clean and tidy at all times. Good service at the bar and restaurant. Friendly follow visitors. The security men and women at the gate, very friendly and helpful

Not sure why it has rated so highly. Was supposed to stay 1 night in a 'chalet" before joining a tour and camping, however went and found myself a hotel to stay at as was very unimpressed. Returned and spent 2 nights camping with my tour group and the tents (supplied by tour company) were better! Camping facilities were reasonable....

I went to Vic Falls last week. Because activities are really expensive there I didn't want to spent much money on accommodation. Rest Camp was recommended to me because the location is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I booked a bed in a dome tent for $29 dollars a night. The tent was very simple, there were two beds...

We stayed here for two nights. For vic falls it is a cheaper option. We had a "chalet" which has two single beds (we are a couple) and a fan and table. The bathrooms and showers are in a shower block outside. It was $46 a night. They have a pool which is great and it's open 24/7, however very...

The Municipality Rest Camp is well located near the centre of this town and easy walking to anything including the Falls themselves. It is also close to the grand old Vic Falls Hotel if you want to go for meal or their high teas. If you've been putting up tents on your journey here, consider upgrading to a cabin -...

We slept there two nights, first one we stayed in a "chalet" which had ceiling fans, it was too hot even when at full blast to sleep properly, but the biggest problem was cleanliness... Bed sheets were disgusting and dust and dead bugs could be found everywhere, with proper attention it could be turned into an interesting option. Having done...

The rest camp overall was OK, but the chalets are basic & were very hot in the hot weather in late October, especially if you use the mosquito nets provided: the ceiling fans were nothing like enough to keep the rooms cool. There weren't any proper secure storage facilities - e.g. no functioning small safes in each chalet. The shower...

i recently stayed here prior to joining an Overland Tour to Cape Town. I booked into the dormitory which was very basic with ceiling fans and no lockers, but I was able to lock my valuables in a separate locker in the office using my own padlock. There are no power points in the dorms so I had to ask...
