We were particularly welcomed by the Director as we arrived at the front desk with a promise for great service. As we spent four splendid days with colleagues for business meetings at this facility, we left very satisfied. The staffs were friendly and extremely polite. The rooms are comfortable with great sleep. The lounge boardroom very discreet and private. The...

the property is huge..nicely done..and strategically located in the cbd area of harare..try to get the room in north tower as it is newly renovated...the management should just throw the 'otis' lifts from the hotel...they make huge noise while moving and spoils the image of hotel..the management should give serious thought to this..go for mitsubishi/ schindler

Stayed here for business, unfortunately I didn't get a room on the refurbished wing but I didn't have any complaints with my room...my view was overlooking a parking lot so maybe that wasn't so great! I enjoyed my meals here and the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. I would certainly return in future

Stayed here twice this month. In the south wing. It was nice to be welcomed back like I stay here all the time ;)) Staff is very attentive and tries to solve any problems which may arise. Rooms are comfortable, the shower fixtures could use a fix-er-up-er... All in all a nice stay - cant complain.

I visit the Meikles several times a year - it is the 'go-to' hotel we use mid-trips / between cities. It's always been our solid. This trip, however, is a bit off. It started with the bathroom faucets having been replaced with nondescript hardware; gone are the vintage touches in the bathroom (well, the hose hair dryer is still hanging...

Thank you for taking time to give us feedback on your recent experiences following your stay with us. Firstly, please accept our most sincere apology for the less than satisfactory service which you received during one of your dining experiences. As highlighted in your review, there was a clear failure in service delivery, and Management finds this unacceptable. We strive...

My first trip to Africa my first hotel review ever. I felt I could have met Agatha Christie in the lobby and Hercule Poirot having breakfast at this amazing hotel. The food and service was exceptional and after my 2 week stay I was asked if I would have my usual. What a great time. Initially I had room service...

It is an hotel but it is still beautiful. I stayed in one of the rooms that were renovated, absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The staff were friendly, the internet service was very good, there are several in-house restaurants, the breakfast buffet was rich. I would certainly choose this hotel again if I returned Harare.

The Meikles sits right at the center of downtown Harare, which is great if you like to feel a little urban buzz when you're in a city, though the rooms themselves are still quiet. (If you want to get completely away from the urban buzz, try the Bronte.) Get a room on the north side of the building, which overlooks...

This was perhaps the most luxurious and famous hotel in Harare at one time. It is now quite tired and the rooms do need a bit of a spruce-up. That said, the meds are comfortable the the linen is crisp and well-laundered. There is tons of (very) hot water in the bathrooms and the Wifi is acceptable rather than brilliant.
