I was originally going to rate this hotel lower, but after staying in another hotel in Tunis, it had it's pros. Pros: very nice rooms, great service, great restuarant, very nice lobby. Cons: segragated from Tunis (which could be a pro as well), very expensive by Tunisian standards, lack soul and character- you could have been in any Sheraton is...

We stayed twice at the Sheraton as part of a tour of Tunisia. The hotel is near to airport but not ideal for Tunis centre. The first room we had for two nights. It was a good sized room. A chargeable mini bar. Kettle, tea (flavoured only, not black tea), coffee, no milk. Bath with over bath shower. Clean other...

A very clean and attractive hotel with substantial grounds a few minutes by taxi from central Tunis. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff helpful. The room was modern and spacious with an easy to use safe and tea and coffee provided. It could use better lighting though. Very pricey and I understand they even charge extra for...

Although convenient to the airport, this hotel is not convenient to anything else. The nearest place to eat (outside the hotel) is a 15 minute walk away. The medina and other tourist attractions are taxi rides away, and traffic can be bad, particularly downtown on a Saturday. The hotel itself is trypical Sheraton, no better and no worse than other...

I was satisfied with the recent stay at the Sheraton Tunis hotel. I was reluctant with all the posts about not being a "typical Sheraton". However, I felt this hotel was very appropriate and reflected well the local culture. Perhaps the other posts do not appreciate the integration of the local culture. This Sheraton is one of the less fancy. At breakfast I had to ask for a fork three times, the wifi access is as complicated as it would have been in the Soviet Union, and the location is quite far away from the Medina and the centre of Tunis (where I'm going to stay the next time). Having said this,...
