I celebrated a "big" birthday at this locale. Our upstairs room with a balcony offering a beautiful view of the plains and the staff singing around my birthday cake after dinner made this an especially memorable experience. Rooms are located in charming thatched huts dotted across the property. It's a short walk to the main building and you must be...

We spent 3 nights here, enabling us to do two full days of safaris - one starting before dawn to catch early animals and another starting after breakfast. We loved this property since it was peaceful yet afforded quick access to the Serengeti. The rooms were reasonably well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Each room has a small...

We loved this property. In the middle of the Serengeti but so beautifully appointed. The property sits atop a hill but we saw buffalo and dik-diks running past our room. All of the rooms have views of the Serengeti Plains. The restaurant was great but we would have preferred to have menu service instead of a buffet each night. The...

We stayed here for two nights as part of our northern Tanzania safari and had a great time. we got two rooms 23 and 25 adjoining rooms with king beds as we were three in the family. it was raining when we arrived at this lodge and got hot towels and juice. As this was open lodge with no fence...

A really great location and exciting have wild animals wondering the grounds. The room was comfortable, but basic, but had really great views even though it was a ground floor room. However, the staff just were not as friendly or professional as the staff in the other Serena hotels in Tanzania. The reception staff were not very welcoming when we...

I guess we got off to a bad start when the hotel could not find our reservation, so between them and Kuoni, someone dropped the ball. No matter, a room was found for us, but one is always left wondering if this is a 'back-up' room of some kind. I think the important point to note here is the psychological...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our safari honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The setting is so intimate and in keeping with the part of the world you are in. Accommodation is beautiful little huts that look out over the Serengeti - incredibly peaceful, even though it is a decent size. Food was very good - buffet...

My fiance and I stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of our Tanzania safari adventure! Location wise its in the middle of a huge national park with plenty of game. The room was fairly basic and had everything we needed including a safe for passports and valuables. The bathroom was a little cramped, but certainly met our needs...

This was our 3rd time visit at this lodge over the last 14 years of our visit to Tanzania. Remember that the lodges in this wilderness are as natural as can be possible and that you are not going to spend a lot of time in your rooms, as you are here to see the wildlife out there in the...
