After a long day driving we approached the Camp with some trepidation, not being sure what to expect from an unfenced tented camp. We were quickly met, checked in and shown to our tents which were literally on the edge of the Serengeti. Inside was the ultimate luxury of two double beds and spectacular bathroom with hot running water and...

My wife and I took our two kids (girl 15 and boy 13 years old) on a 6-day safari, 3 days of which we spent in the Serengeti at the Mbuzi Mawe Camp. We arrived in the evening at this tented camp which was surrounded by herds of grazing zebras, antelopes and buffalos. The closeness to the wild animals provided...

We barely spent 15 hours at this lovely place but wished we had more time. The first day or our trip , we reached travelling all the way from Arusha to this place in the northwestern Serengiti. The day's travel was amazing and most memorable with sights of almost all the exclusive wildlife one goes to Africa for. We reached...

Mbuzi was where my husband and I started our honeymoon. The staff was so helpful with everything. They organized the safari and balloon ride. They guided us on a walking tour. The tent is much more than a tent. It has a tent appearance, but has indoor plumbing and electricity. It's more like the tent from Harry Potter where once...

I was sceptical when booking a tented lodge as the third and final accommodation to end our safari trip but I have never been more impressed! After staying in a country inn and lodge in Arusha and Karatu, the Mbuzi Mawe camp was definitely the best and what is needed to make it a proper safari. The rooms were large...

After a very long game drive it was a pleasant surprise to come upon this lodge in an excellent location. Met by porters to take our luggage partway to reception where a welcome drink and hot towel were very much appreciated. We handed back four copies of the Turin Shroud not realising how dusty the game drive had been! Tents...

Everything about this lodge is luxury. The tents themselves contain two large four poster beds and still have room for much other tasteful furniture. The en suite facilities are also fully equipped. The tent has power and even a phone to summon the escort after dark. The central lodge facilities are comfortable and are everything you would expect from a...

My partner and I stayed at Mbuzi Mawe for two nights at the end of June, coming from Dar es Salaam via Mwanza. Serena organized our safari with Exotic Expeditions, an outfit based in Mwanza. Everything went very smoothly, they picked us up from airport, we stopped by their office briefly to pay up, and were on our way. From...

We were a family of 5 and stayed here 3 nights in May 2016. The camp is well located and just 45 min from central serengeti. We were visibly excited as we approached the camp in the late afternoon on seeing how it was nestled in between rocks and no fence in sight. The tents are extremely spacious, well spaced...

My trip to the Serengeti last December will for ever remain in my memory. Never before had I seen the central Serengeti so green, and so awash in water as rivers and streams had broken their banks and created a wetland scenery, rich of birdlife and with plenty of game to watch from the main tracks which circumnavigated these very...
