We spent one night here and enjoyed it very much. The tents are well equipped - one large bed and a twin, a desk, closet area and nice camp chairs to put outside on the "veranda" and watch the world go by. We had light rain so used them inside the tent. The bathroom zipped closed from the rest of... More

We spent two nights in the Northern Camp in July. The place was well set up to blend in with the surrounding and minimize its footprint when they leave. The tent was simple, comfortable and clean. The only downside may be the really small sink, but I guess this would help conserve water, which is precious in this environment! We... More

In about two months the wildebeest herds of the Serengeti will start gathering in the south, in the Ngorongoro region, where the females will drop their young, so now is the time to book, and the best place to stay is the Wild Frontiers Wilderness Camps. Why? For starters they have three semi-mobile camps, so wherever the game is you... More

Serengeti North Wilderness Camp was located in August about 100 meters from a bend in the Mara river where there had been a crossing a day or two before we arrived and there were tens of corpses in the river. This is a tented camp and surprisingly well equipped. It is in the middle of nowhere no WIFI no radio... More

This was the fourth place that we stayed on our safari. I'll start by saying...don't expect luxury here. This is a mobile tented camp that moves every few months to let the ground regenerate and therefore there is no running water. It is also in the middle of nowhere which means that it is difficult to bring in supplies. Pro's:... More

During an 8 day safari stayed at Serenegti Wilderness Camp Central and Sernegeti Wilderness Camp North. Wilderness Camp Central (5 STARS!!!) Stayed here for two nights while on safari. It is a tented camp run mostly on solar power. This is an example of a very "green" tented camp. The service from the beginning to the end was excellent. The... More

We stayed with the Wilderness Camp for three nights during our recent week long safari in Tanzania. The camp far exceeded our expectations. The tents were impeccable and the bedding was so cosy you did not want to get out. The shower was also amazing, a highlight due to poor pressure from other camps we had stayed in previous nights.... We did a 10day safari with Flash Safaris (Magda Vrijs, dutch owner). Because it was september she advised us to travel up north because of the migration of the wildebeest. It was a grand succes thanks to our guide Roger! We arrived at Serengeti Wilderness Camp North at the end of the afternoon. We had a warm welcome, left our... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Is a seasonal camp and located in the heart of the Serengeti National Park, with access to arguably some of the best game viewing in Africa. The style of camp is simple but with every comfort being taken care of. Seasonal camps have the benefit of being able to move to some of the best game viewing areas of the park and every three to six months we move to a new location. Serengeti Wilderness Camp comprises just ten spacious tents. We provide comfortable beds with quality linens, en suite eco-friendly flushing toilet and bush-shower off an intimate dressing room area. Lighting is by 12-volt (solar powered) with bedside lamps provided. The tents each have a shady verandah, where guests may relax and read quietly or perhaps watch birds and animals. ... more   less
