We stayed here for four nights just as the rains were finally starting (six weeks or so late). So we arrived to dust, and left in mud. In both extremes, the place handled everything amazingly, with gumboots and umbrellas supplied, constant cleaning of our shoes for us, and generally unflappable service. Because of the rains, we didn't end up seeing...

An odd way to title a review but this/these guy(s) are good. Roasted lamb, roasted pork, sides, soups, breakfast, box lunch, all were tasty and plentiful. As tent camps go, this is only the second one I've ever stayed in. Mindful that this is glamping and not camping. We slept on a king size bed not a cot. I did...

The experiences shared by the other contributors describe a superlative experience which is very true. In my opinion the highlight was the focus on the experiences of the guests. It is amazing how much attention they pay to the individual requests of the campers. The guides were well experienced and cater for your tastes. As is consistent with most of...

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The team are amazing and will go out of their way to make your stay fantastic. Special mention to John the chef whose cooking was fantastic - I loved his mama only food. The beds were amazing and bucket showers very hot. We didn't see loads of game due to a...

Everything about this camp was perfect - especially the people that worked there! We've never been made to feel so special and welcome. The accommodations were excellent, as was the food. The guide we had was experienced and knowledgeable. We look forward to returning!

This mobile camp is home in the bush. Beautiful spacious and confortable tents. The views from the tents over the Serengeti are magnificent with game wandering past in the distance including elephants and lion. Kenneth, the camp manager and his team are very professional, friendly and helpful. The team are always discreetly present, ready to help, advise or have a...

Asilia does amazing job, everything from the staff to the super comfertable tents (and bathroom) to the game drives and the extremely educated guides, all top notch. The attention to the food was un-beatable, there breakfast on the go in the morning was perfect, not to miss a single second of the Serengeti. The qualities of animals you see in...

Wonderful 'bush' experience. Food was excellent. Guides outstanding. Because the camp is a movable camp and follows the animals migration, the game viewing outstanding. I would recommend this as a starter camp and end the trip in a more luxurious camp.

I honestly do not know where to begin.... I think the first thing to say about this amazing place is simply, Beyond Exceptional! Honestly. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms - the genuine friendliness and hospitality shown towards my husband and I was real and so very, very touching. The camp itself took our breaths...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Immerse yourself in the Great Migration at Olakira Migration Camp. You will feel the earth vibrate during brave winter crossings of the mighty rivers in the north, or be moved beyond measure by the mass summer calving on the south's grassy plains. Olakira follows the massive herds of wildebeest to two spectacular locations in the north and south of the Serengeti National Park. Home from December to March is the southern Serengeti, where herds of wildebeest calve simultaneously and the plains throng with new life. As the dry days of winter arrive, Olakira relocates north to the confluence of the Mara and Bolongonja rivers for spectacular game viewing at the Mara River itself and around the Lamai Wedge. ... more   less
