I stayed there in August. Rooms are very basic but clean. Food is very basic and very expensive. Breakfast no buffet no real coffe but nescafe which is un acceptable for a coffee producing country. Transport to the city or airport is very expensive. Internet and padlocks for save keeping of valubles is extra. Staff not very friendly.

Nice rroms with hot water, nice food with a large selection, beatiful beach and friendly staff. Avoid the deep sea fishing activity, that they offer, which is very expensive and is more a long boat trip on a traditional dhow.

The stay in the cottage was an adventure, not very luxurious but had everything we needed. The shower was good and when we had some troubles, it was solved without any problems and the staff was always very friendly. Extras like towels for the beach, a safe locker and internet access was rather expensive, but nothing to worry about. The...

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Easy to settle and get familiar with the surroundings. Everything is available and you do not need to go away for supplies. The rooms are quiet so you can rest undisturbed.

Kipepeo's a great place to chill out for a few days, away from the hustle and bustle of Dar es Salaam. It has a rustic charm, laid back atmosphere, friendly staff and management, good food, cold drinks, comfortable rooms and last but not least a very nice beach. I was travelling with my wife and children - we stayed in...

While staying in Dar for a longer time, we spent a weekend at kipepeo. The white sanded beach and warm water is amazing, and all the basic facilities for a nice weekend were there: English breakfast, good choice of lunch and dinner items, happy hour cocktails and amazing cabins to spend the the night. I would definitely recommend the elevated...

Kipepeo is a nice hotel at the beach side. It has small houses at the beach and bigger ones (with own bathroom further away from the beach. Restaurant is ok. Lots of warnings like "be careful when leaving the compound". Didnt look friendly. If you take care (like you should always do) things are fine. Good pleace to relax for...

Great location on the beach outside Dar BUT ... - Campsite is too lit up with security lights at night, impacting sleep - Very loud music from neighbor South Beach Resort one night, another night music from the village started at 3am, affecting sleep - Wifi connection frequently drops - Staff not empowered to deal with guest complaints: when I...

Please avoid going there! It's a dead location and it's so awkward and expensive to get to with transport, unless you hire your own car. The location is miles away from Dar Es Salam, so if you're planning on seeing the town do not stay there. The lodge were trying to charge their own rates for the tents and not...

We decided to stay here rather than in the bustling city center to make sure we get some rest and can have a proper holiday. This fully worked out - great beach, great staff, accommodation super close to the water and very affordable, facilities (especially the shared restrooms) are clean and get cleaned every hour and there's always a security...
