Tranquility in the middle of the Medina! Sure, this Riad is not the most luxurious Riad in town and yes, it also needs a lot of TLC (a bit more than it gets today). But the friendly service, cleanliness of the rooms, decent price and comfort make up for a lot. Tip: have your breakfast on the fantastic rooftop terrace!

we loved the wonderful Dar Rbaa Laroub. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade, but the rooms are all fantastic. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxing and tranquil. The terrace is a beautiful place for breakfast and the sound of birds as you wake up is delightful. I really can't speak highly enough of this place,... More

The room was wonderful, and of all the places we stayed in Morocco, it felt the most authentic, with a french colonial feel throughout. It had the most amazing bathroom, a dark stone throughout which was naturally lit. The riad was small enough to feel intimate while having an large rooftop, in which you could eat or relax in any... I can't say enough about Dar Rbaa Laroub. Laid back vibe yet with very attentive service. Phenomenal rooms and baths, gorgeous rooftop terrace and courtyard gardens. The singing birds in the morning are amazing. Breakfast is served anywhere you want, and dinner can be ordered for the evening with advance morning request. Fatimas cooking is incredible, and a dinner or... More

My husband and I stayed at Dar Rbaa Laroub for three nights in May and we had a really wonderful few days. We didn't meet Jean-Noël but his staff were super helpful and provided us with a little map with local landmarks to help us find our way around which was handy at first! The decor was gorgeous, in both... More

Booked this after reading about it in Guardian's Top 10 Riads in Marrakech - and was horrified. Bedsheets were filthy and torn, bathroom had somebody else's toiletries and socks left in it, and the room stank of smoke. Left after 10 minutes, luckily found good accommodation elsewhere. I would avoid this one, when there are so many other good ones... More

This is a very cozy and welcoming place to be in Marrakesch. The rooms are simple but comfortable and this can also be said to everything in this riad. The terrace is simply amazing - it is a piece of piece right in the souks. The breakfast is also quite good and filling.

Actually I loved almost everything about Rbaa Laroub, the stylish yet simple interior design with lots of colonial features as a lionhead (!) and dark wood furniture. There is a fireplace in each bedroom, a really good thing if you travel in winter as Marrakech can get quite cold during nighttime. We used our a lot! After reading the reviews... More

Dear All, Just back from Marrakech and I wish sharing with you the hidden guesthouse which I discovered in Marrakech: Dar Rbaa Laroub, right in the Medina. Jean Noel, the lovely French owner of Riad “Dar Rbaa Laroub”, has a genuine love of the country and wants their guests to discover and share it. Enormous detail has gone into every... More

Had a fantastic stay in the Riad. As soon as you step inside the main door its a little haven of peacefullness. The staff were so warm and welcoming that it didn't feel like you were staying in another bland and nameless hotel- instead it felt like you were at home. Enormous detail has gone into every touch of the... More
