I stayed here for a yoga and meditation experience and everything was beyond my expectations. Prior to arriving, Philippe contacted me to arrange for transportation from the airport to the medina. After zigging and zagging through the media, I arrived at the riad and was welcomed by Adil. He was friendly, warm and accommodating, and made me feel at ease...

We were originally booked at another riad next door, but they were overbooked, so we were sent to stay at the Riad Magellan instead for one night. Although we showed up at their door upset, they were very hospitable and understanding, and we ended up having a very nice stay :) The room we stayed in was cute and clean....

Located in the mid-medina and yet another Marrakech surprise once the main door is opened. We're warmly received in the patio for pre-booked lunch after days in The Ouriga Valley. Had a nice info about places to see and suggestions for dinners etc - all proved absolutely correct. Stayed for 4 nights in the cosy orange room on the first...

This riad has great rooms in an excellent location for exploring the Medina. Very helpful staff who speak English which is a big plus if your French/Arabic is limited. If you are not using their transfer service ring ahead so that they can arrange for someone to meet you where you are dropped off. The medina's streets can be a...

I attended a yoga retreat here and it was a very good venue for this. The interior design is beautiful, the service very caring and the food good. I particularly enjoyed the brunches, I still think of them many months later (unfortunately, I don't think they offer brunch to regular guests, the one night I spent there on my own,...

Riad Magellan was incredible! We loved everything about our stay. The property is gorgeous with a charming courtyard and several other nice common areas, including a rooftop. Our room was great - spacious, clean and quiet. The staff were always available, extremely helpful and very kind. The location was also great. Though it took us a little while to get...

Ferdinand Magellan, the Portuguese explorer was a skilled navigator. Take my advise - when you book the Riad Magellan, ask for a map. Study it and bring it with you to Marrakech. You will need it to navigate through the labyrinth of alleyways in the medina. For me the Riad Magellan was an oasis in the middle of a tourist...

The riad is about a 10 minute walk from the nearest entry point in the medina. A porter takes your luggage to the road through a maze of alleys twisting and turning, a tip is required of about 10 Dhms per suitcase. The riad is quite small with just six rooms, quite dark and the only light in the room...

Magellan was a great choice when picking a place to stay in Marrakesh. Perfect location, close to one of the exits of the Medina with a lot of taxis to go around the city but at the same time keeping the Medina feel intact. The Riad is very beautiful and sunny with a little jacuzzi like pool in the center...

We spent a week in Riad Magellan having booked it due to the good reviews on TripAdvisor. We were glad we took Phillippe's advice and let hi arrange our taxi from the airport. Many places inside the Old Town are inaccessible by car. Our taxi was met at the city walls by a porter who led us through the labyrinth...
