My friend, her 19 month old and I were in Marrakech for 5 nights and had this wonderful riad as our haven from all of the hussle and bussle. On arrival at the airport a taxi was arranged for us and we were met a short 5 minute walk from the riad by the manager Bashier who helped with our...

Started our trip in Morocco here and couldn't ask for more. The spaces available to relax are both many and beautiful; breakfast on the roof is lovely. The staff were very helpful and gave us lots of advice and ideas on where to visit in our short stay. They also booked our bus tickets to Essaouira which was really helpful....

A recent trip with 5 girlfriends to Marrakech was a long overdue visit to this fascinating city. I cannot recommend Riad Le Coq Berbere highly enough. The rooms are beautifully and simply decorated, and the furniture and facilities are more than satisfactory. It is a cool retreat from the hustle and bustle of the souks. The breakfast is simple but...

Grea location in the heart of the medina. Several great restaurants just steps away from the riad. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable. Happily, the AC was working well. Bathroom was clean and a good size. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The Riad is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable, but it's really the people here who set this apart. We visited and were hosted by Mohamed, Bashir, and Abdul - each one very kind, courteous, and attentive. They went completely overboard to try to make up for a small mistake in our reservations, but seem like they would have gone out of...

Highly recommended - lovely riad with very friendly helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Rooms clean and decorated with locally made pieces. Beautiful courtyard and roof terrace, perfect for breakfast first thing and then relaxing with a mint tea as the sun set over the city. Very well located for the souks as well. Will be back!

Le Coq was a perfect place for my short 3 night stay in Marrakesh. Was like a little heaven the moment you step out of the chaos outside. Very silent and comfortable. Rooms very clean and so much attention put into creating the space. Lots of areas for chilling, and lovely rooftop for lying around and eating breakfast. Staff super...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the beginning there were two friends, Barbara and Elizabeth, and the charm of the Red Town. In an afternoon, walking in a quiet part of the Medina, called Riad Laarouss, close to Ben Youssef Mosque, they saw an old woman with a tattoo on her chin, standing in the street door. The woman was making great gestures to invite them into her house, which seemed very poor. According to the traditional Moroccan hospitality, the old woman offered them mint tea and cakes.
