My husband and I formed part of a family party visiting Marrakech in February. We had a wonderful time at Dar Latifa. We were on half board basis, which worked extremely well. The food was excellent. Enzha and Miriam made us very welcome. February in Marrakech was not particularly warm but there were good heaters in the bedrooms and a...

My husband and I spent a week here in February 2014 when we were looking for a quiet, friendly place in the heart of the Medina. We wanted to explore Marrakesh but we also needed some rest. It was a marvellous find. The Riad itself is a superbly restored old merchant's house, embellished with Moroccan pictures, furnishings, moosaics and fabrics....

We stayed here for 8 nights in late September. The Riad is situated towards the north-east of the Medina and an easy walk to the souks and the Djema el Fnaa. We booked a 'superior' room, which was spacious, with extremely efficient air-con and a very good shower! All was beautifully airy, spacious and clean, with numerous seating areas. It...

Stayed here for three nights from the 31st march. Was welcomed by the lovely Enza, who prepared mint tea and cakes for our arrival. Really don't know what we would have done without her local knowledge. Room was beautiful and clean. Enjoyed lovely relaxing night's on the quiet roof terrace watching the stars! Woke up to refreshing breakfast prepared by...

I fully endorse the 'Hidden Gem' review which gives a very comprehensive description of all Dar Latifa's attributes, not least the wonderful Enza who couldn't be more caring and helpful. Meeting our taxi and leading us through the maze of alleys to the Riad where a pot of mint tea and cakes was the start of her kindness. If it...

We were looking for a relaxing week away from England's rain and storms; somewhere warm and not too demanding. We had previously stayed in the Meridien which we enjoyed, but this time we fancied being nearer the centre of Marrakech. We chose the Riad Latifa because we thought we'd easily be able to walk to restaurants and investigate the Souk....

Fantastic little riad at a good price in the heart of the medina. The place is small (8 rooms only) and lovely, beautifully decorated and very quiet. It truly feels like an oasis among the hustle and bustle of the medina. There's a lovely courtyard, a terrace and plenty of cosy nooks to relax. The two women looking after the...

Yes, the price is right, and if you want to be in the heart of the medina, this may be the place. (Though you will have to walk through entire market to get to the Jema). It is quiet, has a nice courtyard, and the women who work for the absentee owner are lovely and helpful, (though you must speak...

This guesthouse riad is located in one of the old districts of the medina, a stone's throw away of the Medersa Ben Youssef, the souks and splendid foundouks where craftsmen work with ancient techniques. Taxis arrive in the immediate vicinity of our riad. In a very calm lane, no noise comes to disturb the silence of the house. “It would be worth paying for a superior room.”

“The hotel has 8 rooms on three floors. There are 2 reasonably spacious 'superior' rooms one above the other and they have a double and a single bed so can be used for a couple with one child. I would thinnk it money well spent to go for one of there if I were you. There are three less spacious double rooms, one on each floor whch don't have space for more than a double bed, and there are three rooms with twin beds which our youngsters found very comfortable. All the rooms have en-suites . It was quite cool this February and the rooms all had heaters which worked very well. We ate inside in a dining room next to the kitchen but when it's slightly warmer you can eat in the central courtyard where jasmine twines up the walls, lemon trees grow in tubs and little birds tweet. It really is idyllic.”
