I'm very pleased I chose to stay here, it's a real jewel in the Fez crown. As a budget traveller I didn't pay much money for my bed, as is normally the case for me. But it was so refreshing to pay so little to share a dorm and yet be in such luxurious surroundings! This place is pretty breathtaking...

Good location just a few blocks from Bab Boujloud and easy driving access. Entrance on a dark but quiet and safe walkway. Inside, the riad is truly splendid, with decor worthy of a royal palace. The staff is likewise extremely gracious, offering all kinds of help. There is a dinner menu available. Do they really serve camel tagine? Yes, we...

Thank you for your kind comments about the Riad. We are incredibly lucky with our location. As you stated, the entrance is a little dark, but this is a characteristic of the old medina in general - we have lights in the street outside that are lit at night, and a street guardian is located in the street outside 24/7,...

I normally hate the tradition but riad Sara is different. The modern vibes and the amazing owners make you feel at ease and ready to experience a unforgettable adventure of a lifetime. There organisation skills and hosting is better than the 5 star hotel's I've visited. Saturday night's are the best. Just book and experience the best live music in...

Riad Sara is definitely one of the most beautiful riads in all of Morocco. The staff and owners are fabulous; they go out of their way to help you and are genuinely really nice & trustworthy people. Also, every Saturday they hold a music jam session which is an amazing way to spend the evening, especially considering the fact that...

Everyone there was fantastic (Especially Salah, Deeb, and Donna!). FOLKS, I warn you. This is not just a hotel. This is the best Moroccan restaurant I have eaten in all of Morocco! I was feeling hungry one of the nights and didn't want to go out just save a few bucks so I figured I try the hotel food. I...

It was all very good, the place is gorgeus, Salah and Donna are great hosts, and having a little girl running around the place made it all even more beautiful. I even got to learn some Darija arabic from Salah, so it was perfect! Tommaso

My friend andI spent only 1 night in Riad Sara but the experience has been amazing. As we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff who served us some Moroccan Tea. They did their best to attend our needs and they have planned a nice tour around the Medina and a Hamam (Moroccan Bath). All in all, the staff...

We just fell in love with this place when we walked in the door. Hosts told us it was our home for the stay and it felt just like that. Tea was served on arrival and we were shown to our rooms. After a very disappointing stay previous to this, I was so concerned this might be as bad. No!...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT - FROM SEPTEMBER 2015!! Riad Sara is a beautifully restored 14th Century read that has been running as a guest house since 2002. Now operating under a British-Moroccan management team, the Riad Sara staff are trained to address the needs of each guest on an individual basis. From providing a calm base for a city-break, to organising a pan-Morocco adventure - we cater to the needs of our clients. Located in an easily-accessible street, just a 2 minute walk from the taxi stand in the public square at Batha, Riad Sara is perfectly located to be both quiet, but at the same time convenient. The main entrance to the medina, Bab Boujloud, is only a 5 minute walk from the riad, taxis to the new town are a 2 minute walk, and there are multitudes of restaurants and bazaars within a short walking distance. Our tour desk can organise day trips to nearby sites, as well as longer treks to farther afield places. Hammam trips are arranged daily, and massage and henna painting can be arranged at your request. ... more   less
