I booked a room after 12 midnight cuz I was invited in a wedding and requested a delayed check out from instead of 12pm 1pm next day and received the approval by email.. Starting 11:30 AM I started receiving multiple knocks and cleaners entering the room without permission while I was asleep.. Then I had to take change from the receptionist next day who informed me that there was a miscalculation by the night shift guy.. It wasn't about the money at all I just needed to relax for few hours after an exhausting day.. But unfortunately we just don't send room service to knock every minute 2hours prior check out 🙄

Hotel is located in modern part of Fes and actually its position is very good. Lovely lobby and great garden with swimming pool and large balconies would all be features to grant its 4 official stars. However, outdated rooms with numeorus flaws (my group exchange dphotos via viber) and above all poor food choice for breakfast and dinner made me give rating of poor. Doors to the balcony could not be opened, however after complaint at the reception someone fixed it. Entire room of nice size and with kind of a morrocan charm due to its wooden details looked outdated. Room has 5 electrical sockets: 2 for lamps, 1 for fridge and 1 for TV. Only ONE is available in a double room for a modern traveller - unless you move night stand, disconnect a lamp and plug your device in. I cannot complain on cleanliness however corridors were extremely cold, heating in the room stopped both nights around 10pm (only unheated air was blowing out). There is no elevator to the upper floor - in a 4 star hotel?? Luckily, there are only ground and first floor. Some spare beds were left in the corridor and late in the second night someone was taking them down the stairs simply by pulling them and crashing on the stairs. Not the nicest sound once you are asleep.

This seemed to be mostly used by local people. The breakfast was poor and in particular there was no fruit at all, odd in a country of a billion oranges and the fruit juice was made up squash! A highlight was freshly made pancakes one day but these did not start until 8am.
The room was basic. No fridge, no safe, not well cleaned, few toiletries. The pool area was pleasant to sit in but the pool was freezing. On the plus side the bed was comfortable, we could keep the room warm and it was quiet at night. The bar was smoky and dark and uninviting.
There are a lot of places to eat nearby but it's a long was from the old town.

This was by far the worst experience in Morocco. Me and my friend booked online twin room. After our drive from Merzouga for 8 hours we arrived at the hotel and were told that this hotel does not offer twin rooms, only double beds. The front desk guy was very rude and ignorant. We tried to explain the situation but he did not care. He didn't offer any help and ignored our questions. I do not recommend to staying at this hotel. The rooms are very dated and basic, no toiletries, no tissues, not even bottle of water! When we were checking out, the same guy at the front desk was still being unfriendly and dismissive. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

As a 4 stars hotel this hotel was out of standards no staff around very hard to find assistant in the pool I haven’t seen nothing like that no lifeguard even there is a kids below 6 years are swimming no enough tables we had to keep our coffee and water in the grass, pool cleaning system the product they use was mix in a pot and dropping it directly to the water front of all the gust, We cannot order from the pool we have to walk to ask all the management if we can order in the pool and to get assistance to change the pool-bed somewhere else. Answer I got there is no one in the pool you have to do it by your self.
In the room there is no drinking water or tea and coffee, the furnitures in the room are very old I think 1999 or 2 starts hotel.
Clearly we can see that there is no sequence of service for 4 starts hotel. Compare to the price and service this will be a bed suggestion to any Chanel as a 4 stars hotel.
Very very very bed experience and can be the worst I have even seen in my life.

One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its location in a newly developed area, which offered a sense of safety compared to the bustling old town. The hotel's proximity to the Blue Gate, just a quick 10-minute taxi ride away, made exploring the enchanting attractions of Fes, such as the leather dying factory, serene sanctuaries, and vibrant markets, a breeze. Although the winter weather prevented me from enjoying the swimming pool, I was captivated by the picturesque garden view and the relaxing ambiance of the balcony. The room itself was spacious and provided ample comfort for two people. Overall, Hotel Volubilis provided a convenient, comfortable, and visually pleasing experience, making my stay in Fes truly memorable.

Stayed here as part of a tour. The only nice thing I can say is the location is good and the pool area was nice, I really enjoyed the pool. The rooms are beat up and worn out. The patio door did not lock and neither did the deadbolt. There was no do not disturb sign. Nothing was very clean, towels were ancient. Big crack in the sink so it just had glue slopped into the hole! The service in the restaurant was non existent, and the tables were not clean. The food was bad. Couldn't even go with bread and butter because you can only find butter at breakfast. On the second night we took one look at dinner and headed across the street to one of the many great cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. Stay somewhere else, this is not good!

Atlas Volubilis Hotel. Says 4 star outside ! Stars must be cheap to buy in Morocco. Dirty sheets and towels. Mould in bath, no drinking water in the room, no tissues, Dinner provided but absolutely no drinks unless you leave the room and go to the bar across the foyer and purchase at double going price. No removal of dirty plates. The food was overly salty and the tiny selection of cakes and pastries were stale . Rooms are all run down and in need of restoration. No air con in the lobby, corridors or eating areas, Have to carry cases up steps, no ramps. Swimming pool was cloudy and uninviting. 1 star is generous. I hope Julia travel reads this review and deletes this hotel from further tour packages.

We stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour. Check in process was very time consuming. The rooms are tired and need upgrading. There were holes around the bath fixtures, one leg of the bed was broken so the bed listed at one corner. Pillows were rock hard. I liked the marble tile floors (not carpet). We had to walk a long way from reception up several steps to reach the elevator for the wing where our room was located. Quite confusing the room was 504 But the elevator stop was to the 3rd floor. The weather was fine so we were able to sleep with windows open for fresh air

Horrible place, how it’s possible to put 4*, I don’t understand Nothing in the room, safe did not work, no kits for private use, no even water The rooms are very old Nothing to eat at the breakfast, people are not really friendly, trying to charge everything what is possible Even for water at the breakfast they wanted to charge…. Very very bad service, not friendly oriented. So we suppose to stay here for 8 nights but after first night we packed everything and moved to fes Marriott, yes little bit more expensive but the difference in quality and comfort is so huge Don’t sage money on your comfort ability
