Riad No 9 felt like a home away from home. Off a quiet and out of the way street in the medina is the spectacular riad. It's spectacularly beautiful, well appointed, and the staff is lovely. Stephen gave great recommendations and we had the most wonderful introduction to Morocco staying at Riad 9.

Our stay at Riad Número 9 was a high-light of our Moroccan adventures. The pampering and customized attention started well before we even set foot in the property. Stephen made sure we were picked up and guided through the Medina to Riad n. 9, which was a beautiful experience in itself! Atika was attentive to all our needs. The warm... More

Riad 9 has been on my list for a year now. I came to stay for four days and absolutely loved it. I immediately felt at ease, comfortable and yet everywhere I turn from the moment I entered to the moment I woke up, I would look at a magazine. Everything is beautiful. Be it the furniture, the objects, the... More

We had an incredible stay at Riad 9- what a peaceful and luxuriant oasis of beauty and calm in the heart of the medina. Stephen, the owner, was extremely helpful and communicative in the lead-up to our visit, and Atika, who manages the Riad for Stephen, was incredibly warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived. She arranged for us... More

This Riad is the perfect hotel experience. A unique, intimate oasis from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Stephen and Atika took exceptional care of us, answering our every email promptly and giving us expert suggestions on dining and sights around Fes. The hotel is exquisitely decorated and styled. The 12th centry rooms feels both super contemporary and authentic... More

Small but perfectly formed, I stayed at this riad on my first visit to Fez. What an amazing place. So historic, stylishly restored and full of beautiful touches - great-smelling soap, delicious fresh clementine juice and the warmest of welcomes. It feels like the home of your most chic friend. Also in a great location close to all you need... More

This was a beautiful, warm and inviting place to stay. It made being in a foreign country seem like home. They were very helpful in helping us maneuver our way around the medina and in all areas of our stay. An added treat was the restaurant associated with the property.A perfect location. A perfect vacation!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad n°9 is an 18th century bourgeois residence that has been reincarnated as a boutigue bed and breakfast. The decisive factor in purchasing the property was the roof terrace which has sweeping views over the medina. Riad n°9 was originally purchased as a vacation home in 1999 and underwent a 3-year restoration process. We uncovered all the original 18th century mosaics, carved wood and plaster and hand-painted wood. In 2007, we opened to the public and changed nothing believing guests would appreciate the "personal" touches throughout. Our philosophy is to offer guests the possibility of appropriating the space for themselves and experiencing what an authentic medina home feels like. ... more   less
