Hotel Sahrai garners praise for its cleanliness, with guests often highlighting the pristine rooms and modern amenities. The hotel's atmosphere is also well-regarded, offering a chic fusion of modern architecture and Moroccan touches. Room experiences are generally positive, noting spaciousness and style, despite some signs of wear and unconventional layouts.
Service quality receives mixed reviews, with commendations for professionalism contrasting with accounts of sluggishness. While the proximity to the Medina is appreciated, the immediate locale receives lackluster impressions. Travelers are divided on value, with the hotel's views and dining receiving accolades from some, yet others perceive it as overpriced.

This 50 room Boutique hotel has large rooms with a split shower bath with sunken tub separate from the toilet.. The staff was young and very friendly. Nice view overlooking the city. Dining was good. Somewhat out of the way. Recommend. Hope this helps.

We stayed tow nights at this hotel while in Fes and found it to be every bit grand and luxurious. The Breakfast buffet was one of the largest and most diverse I have ever seen in my travels. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms so uniquely designed. The infinity pool was an added plus, something that you would not find if staying in a more traditional Riad inside the Medina.
One negative that I will add, but not include in my over all rating was the Spa. Every member of my group had a horrible experience with their Hamman. It was 15 min long (when we paid for 60) and they were teaching new employees while working on my body (talking loudly correcting mistakes.) While they did provide a 20% refund after we all made complaints, I would not recommend this spa while on your stay.

this hotel had an excellent facility. Room was very big. Bathroom also very well sized. Had a small but acceptable fitness facility as well as two restaurants with good service and food preparation. Food in both restaurants was quite good. Also has the jungle bar where drinks are prepared well. Main problem is location.
hotel is located about three-quarters of a mile uphill from the main road. It is not a pleasant walk up and down and very difficult to do on your own unless you hire a taxi or have your own car. The hotel provides shuttle service on the hour to a couple of key points in Fes but does not provide guaranteed return service without pay.
They also do not provide any money exchange services. Overall although a very nice hotel I would not stay here again given the limitations in ability to move around on your own

Dear amalaPrinceton_Nj, Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review on Tripadvisor. I appreciate your kind words and feedback as we find it to be of significant value to make sure every guest's experience is a memorable one. I am very glad to hear that you received wonderful service while with us and that your room and dining options were to your liking. I will be sure to share your compliments with the entire hotel team as I know they will be delighted to hear it. However, I do want to apologize that the location did not meet your expectations. Indeed, Sahrai is located outside of Fez Medina. We provide an hourly free shuttle with 3 main drop-off points: the mall, Batha square and Bab Boujloud. We also provide return shuttles to the hotel from Batha Square. The instructions are mentioned on the shuttle board and we ask all our guests to go to our sister property RIAD FES - RELAIS & CHÂTEAUX. From there, the receptionist will call our concierge and we will come to pick you up. I will make sure that all our receptionists will mention that point to all our guests to avoid any disappointment. Please note Sahrai has been built in an area that was abandonned. Since, we have launched our project, there is a real interest in the quarter. Therefore, the government has decided to enhance the neighborhood with infrastructures developments to ensure good conditions of living for the locals and also for the guests to be able to move around on their own. We hope to welcome you back again soon and wish you safe travels in the meantime. Warmest Regards, Awa & the entire SAHRAI team

We visited in December, had booked 4 rooms, so was a pretty steep price that we paid for our visit. There was a mix up on their end and one of the room type booked was not available. They tried to sort the issue, but the front desk staff was not very helpful, at times rude. Instead of trying to compensate for their mistake, they kept on arguing with us. As stated in other reviews, the staff does need better training on customer service. I had asked for a call from their Manager, Awa, but did not receive one.
The positive, rooms are nice and so is the restaurant. The location is not very nice, but close enough to the Medina and a Mall that we ended up visiting for dinner one night.

Dear SSPSD, Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us on TripAdvisor. We are delighted that you were able to join us during your time in Fez and hope that the city was everything you had hoped it would be. I am glad that you found nice the rooms, the restaurant and the location. However, I am disappointed to hear that your experience was not as it should have been. For more transparency, let me outline to the readers the situation: the booking was for 4 Deluxe rooms and we provided 4 Deluxe rooms. There was no mention of bathroom's preference. After checking in, we received a telephone call stating that a room with a walk-in shower was mandatory for your father as he could not use the bathtub. As the booking was during the peak season and as you were the last guests checking-in on that night, we did not have any other solution that offering to use the spa for shower until the following day to provide the room with walk-in shower. We were lucky enough to have a group that left very early on the following day and at 9am your suite with walk-in shower was available and given to you. As a compensation, we offer 8 complimentary breakfasts to the entire group PLUS the complimentary upgrade to a suite. The original booking was for bed only without breakfast included. Upon the check-out, you refused to pay for the first night of the entire group. What we did not accept, as we did not receive any information regarding the bathroom's preference. As far as we are concerned, we handled the situation in a good way as you have mentioned it when we spoke directly face to face. Should you wish to speak further about any matters regarding your stay, please do not hesitate to contact me at the email address provided below. You also have all my details in my business card I gave you upon the check-out. Warmest regards, Awa DIAKHATE General Manager awa@hotelsahrai.com

We stayed three nights at this hotel. Its located on a hill approximately 10 mins drive from the Medina. The hotel provides a free hourly shuttle to the Medina which was helpful.
The hotel itself has a vibrant lobby and two decent restaurants. There is a lovely rooftop bar with some of the best views of Fes. The Givenchy spa was disappointing with only a jacuzzi available for hotel guests. The pool is outdoors adjacent to one of the restaurants and seemed empty during our stay as it was rather cold!
The rooms are disappointing. The area around the hotel is in need of development as its quite derelict. The rooms are dark and lack the ambience you would expect to find in such a hotel.
Be warned - the bathroom lacks privacy so when you shower anyone in the room can see. There is a transparent glass wall and only a transparent curtain to hide one's modesty!
Overall it was relatively comfortable with a decent buffet breakfast and restaurants but I feel there is need for improvement.

Dear Shim_aila1, Thank you for having stayed with us and for sharing your feedback following your stay with us. We are glad you found helpful our free hourly shuttle to the medina, the vibrant hotel and the lovely rooftop with nice views overlooking Fez. On the other hand, we are very sorry that you were disappointed by our spa and the rooms. In our Givenchy Spa, we offer free access to the jacuzzi and we charge for the massages, the facials and the hammam. We do have 4 treatment rooms for facial and massages, 4 treatment rooms for hammam and one double suite for couple massages or cares. I am sorry you did not find the other facilities and services we provide in our spa that operates every day from 1pm to 9pm. Regarding the pool, we heat it from February 18th to the end of October. This year, we have been very lucky with the sunshine and decided to heat it before the official date mentioned on our website. I am also sorry that you did not like the layout of our bathrooms you could see on our website or any other travel sites. The hotel has been designed around glass and stone. Please note Sahrai has been built in an area that was abandoned. Since, we have launched our project, there is a real interest in the quarter. Therefore, the government has decided to enhance the neighborhood with infrastructures developments to ensure good conditions of living for the locals and also for the guests to be able to move around on their own. If you were here in February as you mentioned, I am sure you noticed that. Overall, we are glad the hotel was comfortable and we will always do our best to improve the quality and comfort to exceed all our guests expectations. We hope to welcome you back soon and wish you safe travels in the meantime. Warmest Regards, Awa & the entire SAHRAI team

Gorgeous hotel with stunning rooms and facilities. We had a Jr. Suite and loved our room. The rooftop restaurant is a great place to spend an evening or two with live singers and beautiful views. The pools are lovely and staff very accommodating. Plus the hotel just smells great!!
The only minor drawback is the location. While the hotel does have a shuttle that goes to the Medina, it is a little infrequent and you are dependent on taxis for the most part. It's a short ride- 10 to 15 mins but getting a taxi to take you back to the hotel requires a few tries as they either don't want to go in that direction or will charge a higher than normal fee (not exorbitant but still annoying). Walking isn't really an option as its quite far to the Medina on foot (and very hot).
All the same, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would 100% stay here again.

The hotel was not maintained at all, one of the most expensive rip off I’ve ever encountered. They had a coffee machine in the room that had two capsules of coffee, the second day after the room was cleaned, we didn’t find the replacement capsules of two coffee , I generally thought it was a mistake so I called the reception and told us we need to pay 4 euros for each capsules . I said to my wife let’s check out , I went to the reception to try to leave earlier and they wouldn’t refund me. Worst experience ever , and have been traveling for over 50 years.

Dear Guest, We are deeply sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at our hotel. We place great importance on providing quality service to all our guests. Your experience is completely contrary to our values and approach to service. For the capsule of coffe, we replace the minibar with water tea & coffee everyday. We are very sorry to hear that your room has been forgotten. Maybe you put the “do not disturb” sign on your door? In any case, I assure you that it is free service and we will investigate to find out how you were asked for 4 euros as these are not at all our pricing policies. Regarding the check-out request and refund, we apologize for any misunderstanding. Our policies are designed to provide the best possible service to all our guests, and sometimes, early check-out requests may not be eligible for a refund. Your experience is certainly not indicative of the high standards of service we aim to provide, and we genuinely appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to host you in the future, and we will do our best to ensure a much more pleasant stay. Sincerely, The Management

We spend Christmas Day and Boxing Day at this hotel. Finding the way to hotel is kind of adventure. Hotel is surrounded by building sites. Dusty dirt road. There is no way you can step outside the hotel and walk around.
We asked for extra coffee capsules by room service, the receptionist said we have to pay for it, or wait for next day, because each room only has two capsules per day. I asked for a city map, was told they don’t have it. After furious complain finally they did bring them to the room.
Second night we dined at the Moroccan restaurant at the hotel, service is absolutely poor, took half hour in ordering food, an hour until we get the drinks, after three times asking for napkins, 40minutes later they brought them. We were not the only guests who are complaining. It supposed to be a five star hotel, but the service is very disappointing.

Dear Mrs. Ying, We are sincerely sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. As discussed together with you at the restaurant during your last dinner on Monday night, we are totally in agreement with the fact that the service delivered that night does not correspond to what we are used to offering, especially in a 5 star hotel. It was the first time since our opening that we encountered this type of problem and please note that all the teams held responsible have paid for their mistakes. We have also offered new training to them and we hope to have the honor of welcoming you back one day so that you can observe the difference and enjoy a dinner in a 5-star hotel restaurant worthy of the name. Regarding the renewal work outside the hotel, it's unfortunately out of our control but it should be finished very soon and it will make the hotel area even more convenient to access. Sincerely Yours, The Management

True designer hotel (Christophe Pillet) which is relaxing and enjoyable. We had to switch rooms during our stay because we had two separate bookings and the guest relations manager made it seamless. The location up on a hill provides an amazing view of Fes, but it is a 10 minute drive to be dropped off at the medina gates. When making dinner plans, the guest relations manager was extraordinarily helpful in confirming our interests and finding available restaurants.

Seeking relaxation and modern comforts, we changed to this hotel last minute for a two night stay in Fes In between tours. It certainly attracts local Instagram enthusiasts but also tourists on the hunt for a restful day or two. The pool is rather cold, but the environment is very pleasant. Everything we ate was exceptionally reasonable for the location and the rooms were well appointed, if a little tired (bathroom grouting mould etc). The staff were all very pleasant and easy to deal with. You wouldn’t want to walk into the medina on foot from this hotel both practically and in terms of a pleasant experience but otherwise it is convenient.

Dear Mrs. Guilford Lilly,
Thank you very much for your question and interest on Hotel Sahrai.
Unfortunatly we do not have two bedroom suites or rooms with separated beds the only option is to take two room.
The trip room comes with an extra bed.
I stay at your service should you need further information.
Many thanks and kindest regards

I'm not sure if they have heaters or not. I was there in April, and the weather was perfect. However, the nights can be quite cold in the winter--minus 4-6 C or mid-20's F.
If Marrakech is in your route, I will recommend you to visit instead the Royal Mansour. This Hammam is amazing!
No - they haven't heated the pool when we were there
Dear Rafi,
You certainly may upgrade to HB upon arrival, although this is a more suitable option for groups. The half board if at 450 DH/person and it includes a 3 course meal, mineral water, coffee and tea included.
We look forward to your next visit!
Warm regards,
