They welcomed me to the car without even asking me to bring one of the three bags that I had with me. In the two-day stay in the Ryad they never gave to me the key to the main door and one of the two nights I have left 40 minutes out the door without no one opened the door...

Our stay at Dar Lebchara was very pleasant, but our feelings towards Fes are a bit mixed. We really recommend a stay at this Dar, but first we'll give you some tips for getting around in Fes: - Take a petit taxi (the red ones) to the main Medina gate and ask it to run on the meter, this is...

It is such a pleasure to visit this place. Perfectly situated in the heart of the Medina (but not too far away from the main entrances to make it inconvenient), this beautifully restored house is run by a group of great people who are from the neighborhood. This is as close to experiencing authentic Moroccan hospitality as it gets if...

Perfect location, close to the heart of the medina and a 15 minutes’ walk from the Blue Gate. We arrived in the evening at Fes airport and transport to Dar Labchara was organized for us. The house is a beautiful traditional Morrocan Dar, the room and linen very clean. The staff speak good English, are very helpful and make you...

We really enjoyed our stay at Dar Lebchara. From the warm hospitality of everyone there, to the calmness of sipping mint tea at the at Dar Lenchara. it was a great place to relax before and after exploring the frantic activity of Fez. In total we spent three nights at the the guesthouse, and that’s probably enough to see many...

During my recent three week visit to Fes, i slept in eleven different riads and dars. Dar Labchara was the worst. To be fair to this place, it is not too far from Bab Boujaloud (referred to as a Blue Gate by the tourists), and itself is is a stunning riad with beautiful woodwork, pillars and zellij. But this is...

Stayed three nights November 2013, traveled solo. I really can’t say enough about how welcome and comfortable I felt here. The Dar is located right in the middle of the Medina in Old Fes, which in a way puts it in the heart of the cultural heart of Morocco. It’s newly renovated with impressive resources and beautiful architecture. Breakfast is...

Ibrahim met us at the Bab Boujeloud and escorted us to Dar Labchara. After meandering through several narrow alleyways, we reached a wooden door in a narrower lane. Ibrahim unlocked the door and welcomed us into a world bursting with exotic eastern charm. The foyer led to an inner courtyard of traditional zellij (small colored tiles) floors, exquisite Moroccan design...
