The location is at the start of the medina and hence a great starting point for exploring fes! The breakfast is nice and the hotel staff is very friendly! The hotel has a nice terrace upstairs with nice views.

We had a really great time in this four room Riad in the Medina of Fès. The rooms were nice and clean, the people were very friendly and the service was excellent! Free minttea, orange juice and water all day and an extremely great breakfast at any time you like. We had our breakfast on the roof terace every morning....

Extremely pleasant experience! I am so happy I've got to stay in the Dar Mehdi Ryad. The people here are very welcoming and helpful throughout the entire stay. Firstly, they offered to help us get from Bab Boujloud - the primary gate of the Medina, to the Ryad - one of the guys came to get us and also showed...

Nice cozy little place, right in the heart of the old medina, easily accessible to all areas. The riad is small but beautiful, despite some people quoting the problem with the bathroom, the service in the hotel was near perfect. The boss was a very nice guy, letting us store up luggage a day prior to our check-in date. The...

The house is beautiful! Every time we entered the house they would offer tea or juice or Water. The helped guide us through the medina to good restaurants in the evening. Everyone was very friendly and the free breakfast was delicious.

We loved the service received during our stay in Dar Mehdi. We were literally waited on hand and foot by everyone at the riad. Abou (our host) was fantastic - even running through the medina on our first night in fez looking for my husband who had managed to get lost! We loved the constant supply of mint tea, and...

Lovely place run by very friendly, helpful and hospitable staff. It's a pleasure to stay here. Calm, friendly, inexpensive, but real boutique hotel in a genuine ancient house. Rooms are not too spacious, but if you prefer cordiality and historic ambiance, that's you choice. What is rare in the medina, if you download a map from this site, you can...

Located very near the Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue gate) the main entrance in the old Fes, when you enter just turn left and then first right in the Talaa Kbira street, after cca 200-300 meters on your left side you will see a little street named Derb Ben Salem, enter and folow the signs directing you to Dar Mehdi. This...

Though it was located in the medina, it was easy to locate. The owner responded to my booking to call from the train station and he would meet me (but I did not check my email again to get this information!). The host spoke good English which was a big help to us in arranging a tour and understanding Fes....
